Thanks for the video! I just did this on my 1993 Volvo 245 and it worked GREAT! And yes, 1/16th toe in on each side and she's straight as an arrow down the road...
Just replaced the inner and outer the good ends. This was exactly what I needed to finish the job right.
Well done, better than the tyre shop who realigned my 850 .. . now it's visibly toeing out. Will have to go back.
Wow thanx. You just saved me like 85 bucks. Nice karrs.
hey.... great vid bro... keep up the good work...
Thank You!
Yes that is what I did
wouldn't this work better with front wheels up? that way the adjustment will actually pull the wheel out or in, instead of resistance from wheels on ground?
The weight of the vehicle needs to be on the wheels to maintain the suspension geometry. If you adjust the ties rods with wheels off the ground the alignment will be off as soon as you put the car down because the suspension geometry changes. So alignments have to be done at ride height.
Thanks on the replies ,well appreciated
Well described, pity the camera man was shifting around so quickly.
Some say toe in 1/16th for better straight line driving.
Yes that is what you did? Got it. There was another question there however. The point?
Eeeww! A Volvo automatic? No, no, no...
You saw how to do an alignment DIY on UA-cam so you devised to make your own vid on what you saw? What is the point if the video already exists of what you just did? Makes no sense whatsoever.
