I love both of these, I found the Toblerone from Costco once and the Daim is always available at IKEA. I really love Daim chocolate bars too, IKEA has them as well. Best gluten free cakes I’ve ever tried!!

Dami is my addiction and it’s good for diabetics because a small 50g piece is good enough. When he was talking about the texture that is how Swedish cakes are!
good review! Yeah I felt the same way about the Daim (Dime as we call it in the UK) cake. It didn't quite live up to the bar, surprisingly. The other cake available at IKEA, the Tarta Mandel (almond cake) is exquisite. I loved it. Nothing beats the Dime bar though. Malibou also do a Chocolate Roll sweet/candy bar with Dime pieces in it, and those are beyond good. Impossible to stop eating them once you've started. Malibu chocolate in my opinion, is one of the best in the world, first there's the creaminess, the smooth texture, and then the aftertaste is a kind of malty, mollases-like taste. Amazing.
that Daim one looks exactly like the Swedish almondy cake they sell at Ikea's cafe by the slice and by the full cake in their foods department. sooo good. i always get a slice when i get the Swedish meatballs at Ikea's cafe
Never mind popular in the UK. I'd like to think they were popular in Sweden haha. Have had both of these but weren't particularly special I got them in Ikea but everywhere seems to sell them now and we now get Galaxy, Maltesers, Twix and Mars frozen desserts and there is more.
I bought the Toblerone cake on accident and so I ended up checking if you've had it or not, as I do often. I totally agree with the cake being bland. The chocolate and the cream parts are totally nice but the cake base has next to no flavor and at the same time it takes forever to chew it hahaha if they told just the chocolate and cream inside something like a pudding cap this would've been so much better
We just brought a Daim cake yesterday at Tesco in the UK for £4.00. We, my wife and I had a small slice each and were very much underwhelmed with the cake as a whole, texture, taste being the main critique points. The price of £4.00 is probably okay, but $7.49 five years ago, before COVID and all the inflation problems involving food price hikes seems insanely expensive! I will not be buying this cake again, there are plenty of better options out there. Thanks for your video. ❤
It seems like a lot of frozen cakes don't have much flavor. They also always have a wet (not moist) feel to them. I feel like the "water" from the defrost process waters down the flavor somehow😔. And they smell "defrosted". Please tell me I'm not the only one that's noticed that. Haha. Curious question.... why do you cut the whole cake most of the time when y'all are trying one? In my 40 years, I've never seen someone do that before. Haha. Again... mean no harm, just curious🤔😉 Haha. Great video as always! It kind of does represent daim, well it’s not marabou that makes the cake, but it’s a cake flavored with daim, it’s has the same chocolate and daim pieces like the daim bar, the vanilla cream and the cakebread combines the cake. Otherwise you’d just eat a daim bar like it is 😂 it’s my favorite cake, so creamy and crunchy, prefect!

For the daim bar cake are there layers of caramel in between the “cake” layers or custard? Is there a layer of caramel before the chocolate top?
