What are your thoughts on using a encapsulator over top of the existing adhesive on the VAT? I have heard of guys having issues with carpet tile adhesive and residue from existing adhesive not getting along so well and issues later on. Love your set up! Nice tools make the job so much better
John Steier I have not had any issues with that, up until this point in my career I have always skim coating over it so hopefully nothing becomes of this
I have seen carpet tile not stick when my buddy glued over cut back with pressure sensitive. He had to pull out 5000 yards and use a uzin product to encapsulate it and re-install all of it. Floor patch will also fail on cut back. I've floated over the top of it and it just crumbles apart when it dries if you don't use the proper primer beforehand. Most other adhesives ive never had a problem with unless its crystallized, if thats the case its probably best to remove the adhesive
Bidding a 24,000 sqft of glue down carpet removal over wood and concrete, then installing glue down vinyl plank. How long with the first tool would you say it takes to do 1000 sqft. Thank you for the video and your time
Just depends on the glue and how old it is really. Doesn’t fully clog it but coats the entire inside of all the funnels and cakes up all around the filter area
I WAS NOT PLANNING TO UA-cam THIS FOOTAGE THATS WHY ITS NOT SO GOOD
Those carbide disks are a life saver 🙌. Boy you even got the light and sweet hepa-vac system
J McCormick Thank you sir I have not had it that long and I really am happy with it

How long did 500 sf take you?
That’s awesome. Super quick. I’ve spent 6 hours on 50 sq M. Glue is my enemy lol.
Sid Knee if a person does not own one It would definitely be worth renting

Gold Coast Flooring | Carpet & Tile Care thanks Nick
I use almost the same setup. One thing about the iq though is the funnels will clog with sticky glue dust. Had to spend about an hour cleaning it out
Jim Bob Wow, I did not know that
