I have so many things I want to say so I'll just say this: I have never watched something that has made me as happy as this did. DEH has such an honest and real protrayal of mothers: ones that are far from perfect, but are committed to their families. This video was just a reminder of all of that beautiful storytelling. Also, I love these women. I love this.

I agree with you, my favorite character was Evan’s mom. AHAM is such a powerful song! It is indeed the first time I see such an honest potrayal of a mother. Watching the way Evan’s mom dealt with her kid’s depression and her situation reminded me of my mom, it made me think a lot. But the grief of Connor’s mother really broke my heart. And I think it’s a bit sad that the story revolved mostly around Evan sometimes. Sure Connor’s mom got a song where she expresses how she feels after her son’s death, although it’s a group song, but I think her character could have been explored more in the movie (I didn’t watch it but the fact that they deleted AHAM entirely says a lot about the way they treat the mom characters 😅)

Yeahhhh, it's literally popped directly from. There's no vocal variation at all, I ran the two on top of each other and they're seamless. Sort of disappointing they didn't give her a chance to re-record it just for funsies. :(

I've been trying to recommend DEH to my mom😂😂 what I find wonderful about this musical is it's not only made for me as a depressed and socially anxious kid, but also for moms out there who have to deal with kids like me on daily basis. A real family therapy media😊

If you want to see something that is beyond superb, look up Jessica Phillips performing "So Big/So Small" in a studio with a single guitar accompanying her. The level of emotion that she is able to muster is as great as it would be on a Broadway stage. We saw DEH in Sacramento CA in January of 2020, not long before Covid-19 shut down live theater. Jessica E. Sherman played Heidi Hansen and was excellent as was the entire cast.
I keep coming back to this video! I never get tired of it! I don’t know if there are any other Law & Order fans in the comments, but Jennifer, Jessica, Lisa, and Christiane have all made at least one appearance on a Law & Order spin-off!
