Pet peeve of mine is I was tuaght never to put stuff on top of ur project or a finished car … I worked at STREET TOYS HOT RODS in Mexico for bout 11 yrs I seen 3 people get fired for leaving a coke can on a project.. and that was on the tear down stage
Although I agree, in professional setting. This is my shop and my cars so I took steps to make sure it was good and nothing would happen to the car, and I also knew would be very temporary. Thanks for the feedback
Hello there, I really have no clue about cars but find it fascinating to watch you restoring these really old and rusty ones. I am curious though. How exactly do you treat these extremely rusty spots on the parts. Do you just grind the rust away and weld broken parts with some other metal before applying the paint or is there more to it ? And is the paint in itself there just to make it look clean and as good as new or does it protect against rust in some way?
Usually would cut out the rust or anywhere where metal is getting thin. Then replace it with fresh new metal and weld it in. Then paint out over it is just a rust prevention. Thanks for watching!
Just wanted to leave a comment on each of these wagon videos ❤.
Hi from Italy! Good job! We should be able to separate the bodywork from the chassis to be able to work on it better👍
Thanks for the nice words! Yep eventually will be taken off the frame and restored but just gonna enjoy it for now! Thanks for watching
Hello, I've been following you from Spain for quite some time. Reminds me a lot of when I repaired my '79 Chrysler
Awesome! Thanks for the support and watching!
drop the heater cables into a tub of oil for at least a day do not try and force em otherwise they are steel and do get internal rust

Keep up the good work. I recently picked up a 1957 Chevy 210 Wagon as well. Our cars seem to be in similar condition.
Thank you! Good luck with yours!
do not use chinese axle bears or leaf springs you will regret it they are recycled steel of cheap quality
same goes for the body pannels
