Dont wanna buy the kit? Try this The carbs are simply the OEM Honda XR200 carb (we typically used the 2001 model vear XR200 - but all the single carb XR200 carbs were similar). Honda and Keihin have discontinued them. You can source your own carb and then use our adapter www.ebay.com/itm/154200154288... to fit it up to the OEM manifold. You can either use the OEM Honda XR200 throttle and cable or source these on the aftermarket (Motion Pro should be able help). Avoid the eBay generic replacement XR200 carb. You only want the OEM Keihin Honda XR200 carb.

I purchased a 2023 for my son and had the same problems with it being lean from the factory. I went a little crazy and drilled out the welch plug and got to the D-shaped fuel screw. It was glued or something in also, so I very carefully drilled and easy-outed the fuel screw. I ordered a Shindy rebuild kit which came with a normal flat head fuel screw. The jetting is still lean so I need to get new jets, but I was at least able to get it adjusted to where it will start easily and idle. Thanks for the video, just wish I would have seen it about a month ago.

Great vid. Picked up mine yesterday, lean as hell and can't adjust A/F mixture. Mechanic at dealer even called kawasaki about it before I picked it up. I got it home and very carefully adjusted idle once it was all warmed up and got it to run without hanging revs while also idling without stalling but it's super lean and cold blooded. Will probably just end up swapping carb. I can tell it's going to be a fun bike though just riding around the yard.

I put a vm26 on my stock 140 and I can’t seem to get full throttle, it just starts popping and dies out. I’ve tried jetting the main from 150 to 200 with no luck. It also has a horrible stall when revved from idle which I’ve tried 15 to 22.5 on the pilot. I was told be BBR that the vm26 is too big for a stock bike and I need the big bore kit to use the carb. How did you get yours to run so well?

Finally got the new carb in. Fired up first time HOWEVER the bike is revving like a madman. Throttle cable springs right back, choke is not on. No matter how I try and adjust the idle it wont stop revving. Any ideas? The one thing that did happen on install was the rubber "hose" from the air box to the carb came out. I reinstalled it back in the airbox but have not sealed it back up. Could that be the issue?

I bought the kit and put the new carb on. The fuel selector valve completely blocks the choke. You can’t choke the carb. Am I missing something?
In fairness it did fire right up with no choke and it’s only 30 degrees. It starts WAY better than it ever did straight from the factory. It’s to snowy to try it out, but wondering if no choke is going to be a problem.

About a month after I got my kLX I put the 12t front sprocket on. It accelerates like a beast and the throttle is super snappy with the higher Gearing ratio. My only gripe is I loss a little bit of my top end, but I'm about to fix that and order a 49t rear sprocket to put my gearing ratio down to 4.08 which will give me my top end back without loosing all the acceleration gained (I'm at 4.17 currently gear ratio right now, which was a pretty good jump from the stock 3.57 ratio.)
Also if you're looking for sprockets that are very reliable and well made I recommend JT Sprockets, Renthal (If you wanna spend that much). And Bikemaster.
