    Beautiful piece, I'm curious to know do you add media to the tumbler, and how long do you tumble them? Do you wait till you have a barrel full of pieces? Fun fact, I too have been making earrings for decades, and started wire wrapping about a tear and a half ago. Happy Crafting😊

      Hi!!! Thanks for asking.. I’m going to attach a link to a short I made actually showing the steps. But, yes, I use shot to polish with some dish soap and water. I have heard of the polishing powdered compounds you can add but I haven’t explored that yet because I’ve been so happy with the outcome so far. I’ve out multiple pieces in at the same time. Sometimes they get tangled but I’ve never seen any damage. For chain, I’ve tumbled it up to an hour! Maybe just 10-15 min for more delicate pieces. Hope that helps!!😁🧡✨💚

I’m so glad you found the channel too!! 😁 my husband collect copper over time from all his project so I just add my scraps to his and we take to a local recycling plant that does metal too. Where can I get the body butter recipe?

    • @carriefoscatodesign
      @carriefoscatodesign 4 дні тому

      Here ya go, friend! Body butter 1/2 cup shea butter (raw/organic) 1/2 cup cocoa butter 1/4 cup jojoba oil 1/4 cup castor oil 1 Tbs organic emulsifying wax Essential oils (optional) On med-low heat, melt butters and wax. Once melted remove from heat and pour in oils. Mix and put in refrigerator to cool until it just begins to thicken like a thin pancake batter. You might see it just start to harden at the edges. Pour into stand mixer and mix on high for 10 minutes. Your melted butter batter will fluff up and turn white. Transfer into container(s). Enjoy!

    These are a fun beads/links. Those needle nose pliers are a game changer, I use mine so much. Just a little tip on your round nose pliers. Instead of using a marker which yes is a pain, use a metal file, say triangle, or a blade, something you are comfortable using to make you're marks, it is permeant. Using your 6 step you can figure what areas you want to mark on your round nose and you will have pretty much the same size with both. Thank you for sharing with us.

I have thought about permanently marking the round pliers, but I’m so determined never to use them that I haven’t yet 🤣🤣 plus, I think they’re a little janky so when I turn the pliers while gripping the wire they don’t stay lined up. So CUTE! T/Y! ALLLLL of my Tronex pliers are AMAAAAAAZING!! [They are a "bit" more expensive but SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY!! ~~ I have 3 pairs & will be getting my 4th for X-Mas! Albeit 2 of them are the heavy duty razor flush cutters - one for 18G/1.0 mm wire+ & one for below 18G/1.0 mm [non-ferrous] wire. I bought them back to back because I L💜VED the 1st set SO MUCH!! I think they-re even rated for up to 14-13G/1.6-1.8mm wire! They DEF cut 14G like butter, but don't quote me on anything thicker!! & they're DEF, FOR SURE RAZOR (or "super") flush cutters!! The BEST I've EVER, EVER had & I've had some that were even more expensive than Tronex (which actually were supposed to be rated for up to 1.6mm wire I KNOW b/c it's written on the handles!) But the tips broke on those more expensive ones just cutting 18G wire!! -Which is why I tried the 1st pair of Tronex! Happy accident, I guess?!?] Sorry! I know I talk/type TOOOOOOO MUCH! But yeah, try Tronex!! I bought all 3 pairs from Etsy shop: "FDJTOOLS" & they're amazing if you have questions/concerns too!! But def shop around for the best prices b/c some places/websites seem like they are TOTALLY price gouging!! Tronex!😊😊+ FDJTOOLS! Aloha & Mahalo Nui Loa!! 💜🐾🤙🏼🐾💜

    Hi Carrie it is so wonderful to meet you! I love your jewelry designs! I also do oil paintings and a lot of other crafts (you can never learn too many of them). I started wire wrapping when I had packed up all my paints before moving. Going into craft withdrawl I stumbled across a kit at Walmart for wire wrapping, that opened a whole new world for me in crafting! I am 69 now and have been making jewelry for about 19 years. I have taken up beading and that is a little more intense than the wire wrapping. I will always love wire wrapping first, you can get as creative as you want to. I just found this video after watching a Katydid Rockhound video! It was the next one and I really liked the style of this earring! I too hate the wrapped stones too lol. I love this one and will be making a bunch! Thank you for such a wonderful video!

    Carrie, I noticed that the handles on your pliers are different, are they more comfortable?

      They are a different brand. Bead landing? The only ones that they had at Michael’s where I live, but I’ll be ordering a different brand later😁 the handle felt the same actually. Maybe a little thicker. 👍 💚✨🧡

    Elegant style. I wish I could wear this type of earrings, but unfortunately, I have sensitive issues to metals.

      They were cute at first but the more I looked at them the more I saw 🍆 if you catch my drift. 🤣My husband saw it too. Now if that’s what you’re going for, then you’re all set! I wrapped the 3” piece of wire around the 7mm or 5th step of the bail pliers and then put small loops at the end to wire wrap the briolette to. 😁 I so enjoy sharing fun creations with you and I appreciate you watching and commenting! Happy creating! 🧡✨💚
