Hi! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. Here’s a video i did a couple of months so on the herringbone weave! 🤗 EASY Wire Wrap Herringbone Weave: 👩🏫Handmade Jewelry Tutorial ua-cam.com/video/-9f-1dj9HF4/v-deo.html
@carriefoscatodesign You know, it's so funny! After I wrote this, I got out my wire to try the chain!! I made 3 inches of it but then I had to get ready for bed. Yours looks much better than mine but it's really relaxing. I love this link! ❤️
Hello, what a really good video i just watched, i have been in to jewelry making since i was a young man, now iam a Granddad, but i still love to make jewelry and usually sell what i make to help with my Social Security, anyway subscribed to your channel only thing i can say is just keep on putting these video's out just so much information you give, what i learned i learned on my own, could never afford a "formal jewelry school", take care stay safe.......GOD Bless.......
This is a wonderful comment! I want to get into soldering, but I’m kind of in the same boat - classes are expensive and there aren’t any near where I live in the first place 🤷♀️ but because no one has taught me the proper way, I usually find some other way or use for a tool that I haven’t seen anywhere else. Now, that’s my dad coming through. He’s the master of “well, I don’t have that tool, so what can I do to make it work?” Thanks for joining me! 🤗💚✨🧡
Yes! That’s exactly what I’m going for. A little secret… in just started learning at the beginning of the year. Look how much I’ve learned. So you can too! Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@PatriciaGomes-np7nt you are so very welcome! I so enjoy sharing tips and tricks. I endeavor to share a tutorial each week and would love to see you back around for the next one! 💕
It's so neat and simple It does look much like Another weave I saw but required it to be soldered starting with a closed very large jump ring forgot what is called however I am very much in to the mideveil styles of wire weaves and this is supper nice t o add on to some thing I will like to try Thank you for shareing
@@davidsteinfeld9123 David, you’re so welcome! I love also that there’s no soldering involved and yet is still quite sturdy. I’ve been looking into some chainmaille weaves for bracelets etc. and hope to bring some tutorials in the near future. I’ve also been fooling around with a Viking weave but haven’t fallen in love with the process yet. 😅 Thanks for watching and commenting!
@carriefoscatodesign well for sure I will keep an eye out for you for me I will keep on twisting wire against time and see were it will take me thank you for bringing another idea to play with
I love your tutorial. I know what my next project is going to be. I've got some black covered copper wire so I'm thinking of a chain for a guy with maybe a mountain jade stone for the focal. I would love to see a tutorial on clasps too. Thank you for your tutorials. They are very good!!!!!
@@jeanettatownsend6807 I love to hear that you’re getting inspired and taking an idea and running with it - making it all your own! I wish somehow I could see your final piece! I really like the look of this chain🎉🎉 what is the size of the small end of the bail pliers you are using because its not long enough on my pliers to wrap around and connect the holes, so I'm using a longer piece of wire. So just wondering if different brands of bail pliers are different sizes around
Love this! I see you use bare copper. Do you typically put a clear coat on it or just let it age? I’m starting to use copper but don’t know if I should use a clear coat on it. Thank you!
I have done a lot of different things. The ring I have on jn the video on my right hand is just left as is and I like the patina it has. I’ve also used renaissance wax and like that and also something called, the name escapes me, but it’s like permaclear. It comes in a metal can and you dip it. That’s good too. I think it depends on how much you feel like dealing with🤣 The permaclear is a process but the renaissance wax is just a rub-on process. I usually go with that.
Good question! Yes, you could add a link once, but only once as a foundational link for a new chain. Imagine you’ve picked up one of your completed links that you forgot to connect, you follow the steps and add another link, you cannot then add one of the other completed links because it’s closed up. Once you’ve closed them up it would involve some undoing of your work to get it on. Possible, but too much aggravation 😁😁 I hope that makes sense. I need a video to explain! Happy creating!
@carriefoscatodesign: I see what you're saying. Just make more links but slide them in the little hole and close them up. No need for jump rings that way. You wouldn't have to undo the closed links, just go to step 2 and make a new link, add it to the close link, close it, etc. etc.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us. I love all of your videos. God bless.
