Forget LG cells or Samsung cells. Go for Molicel. Specifically the P28A or P30B when that becomes more widely available. Oh I just bought one after seeing how easy it is to crack open that battery. Name brand cordless ratchets are at least $200 CDN, nowhere near worth the price.

These are rated for 1200 inch lbs which is 100 lb/ft which is more than enough for any 3/8 socket applications. I wanted it in 1/4 inch but they weren't in stock so I got the 3/8.

Those are honestly serious tools, no idea how long they will last. The new ones without the red on the sides are even more powerful.

It was clearly packaged to hit a price point. I don't call this 'dropping the ball' at all. It's a marketing decision. They COULD include a coupon in the package to get the 4 AH battery and rapid charger for 20% off but even if you buy the battery & charger at full price, this tool & it's companions still kick butt; bringing affordable power tools within the reach of young people starting out, retired or disabled people on fixed incomes and anyone who finds one or more of these tools helpful in occasional use. The build quality and performance make it a winner at the price point. Hyper Tough power tools come with a two or three year warranty, extensible at the time of purchase, depending on the tool. The Hyper Tough marketing team made a decision with which you disagree. Means YOU think they 'dropped the ball.' I don't, so everybody has an opinion. BTW, I have zero connection with Walmart. Never worked there, own no stock, no financial interest. Retired from a sales and marketing career.
