I have been in Thailand many times, last time I was there last July for 3 weeks I didnt go out drinking much only once a week, I didn’t go out eating in fancy restaurants I ate at local little restaurant, I didn’t get fooled with these woman. My time in Thailand is to relax at the beach

The thing that I wished I knew about Thailand before I went was that 99 percent of the nonsense you hear about the place is just that, nonsense. I have been twice this year, not been scammed, assaulted by a ladyboy, have not been asked for money from women despite having met a few, have not been run over. In fact all that happened on both occasions was I met some of the nicest humans I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

First off this video needs to be entitled “why I left Pattaya due to being too relaxed”. Idk man this sounds like a very a white male oriented self control issue , not a Thailand issue. The same thing can happen in Vegas, Taipei, nyc and elsewhere allbeit at different price points and def not as chaotic as Bangkok BKK is not laid back at all compared to pattaya . For me to live in another county would be to live a better life. What's the point of moving and having to budget in order to survive will not be what i would personally want. If you can't go out or eat out often or travel frequently, then it's not for me. Thailand used to be cheap in 20+ years ago, but last year i found it awfully expensive. ( for me as we like to do a lot and eat good food) E.g Taxi from Kamala to pattaya was approx 500 TB each journey. I wouldn't be able to live off £1,000/£2,000 a month i would need a house with a pool for starters 😂 not boxed up in a small high rise. Thanks for being true and pointing out that not everything is as perfect as some others say.

I'm a newbie to Thailand (first trip this year) and I need to ask a couple of questions. Some of them may sound silly. But hopefully one of you guys in the comments (that have been to Pattaya several times) can help me out. I would really appreciate it. 1. When I fly into the Airport in Bangkok, what all do I need when I go to immigration? If I'm only there for a two week holiday, do I only have to show them my Passport? Or do I have to fill out paperwork for a 30 day vacation Visa or something like that? If so, where do I get that paperwork so I don't have to stand in the long line twice? 2. I have a lay-over in Japan for 4 hours before I get on my connecting flight to Thailand......does this mean I have to go to immigration at the Japan Airport too? Even though I'm not staying in Japan, just there to catch another flight? 3. Is it a good idea to arrive in Thailand with some Thai Baht already on hand? I can exchange money for Thai Baht back home before I leave....my bank will do it for free, it just takes a day or two for it to come in. Good idea or not really necessary?? 4. Can you trust the safe-box in your hotel room? I'm either staying at the Queen Vic on Soi 6 or the Beach Front Resort on Soi 4.....so how trustworthy are the room safes?? 5. If a girl works in a beer bar (and is available to be bar-fined)....does this mean she is of legal age?? If not, how do I make sure the girl is over18?? Thanks for any help you can offer.

At 42. I attempted to live in Thailand in '19. I didn't like it. Was too hot, Geckos in the room, & yes, I grew TIRED of noodles 😂 n i dont drink. Try going for 30 days to 3 months first, then see if you like it

Like others say, self-dicipline. I have a feeling many also live too expensive lifestyle. In the beginning I lived in a 1 room apartment chain. Only had fan for the first 3 years, well it worked. After living in Koh Samui and how they try to rip you off even they know you lived there I moved to Chiang Mai. Very nice people, no one tried rip you off. Today I don't know, don't live in Chiang Mai but in another place. I live in the jungle in north of Thailand and think it's great. No tourist prices etc. On the other hand not easy to find stuff so Lazada have been very good for buying Ray flour etc when i make bread. Before I couldn't get anything. What is annoying is immigration and you only get 1 year at a time Non-O. And you can't apply for VISA until one month before it's ended but take 6 weeks to get it...

I hear you about nights out drinking. Luckily I got this out of my system living overseas in the military. Wild and fun nights. Now I'm too old for that.
