The connector you were talking about that you were uncertain about what it was for (coolant temp) is the wiring for the hood latch It lets you know on dash when hood is open

Sounds like the clutch pad in the tour converter lock out is wearing out…. When I use this product, I always get on the interstate slow down to 50 mph, then floor it up to 70 mph quickly, about 10 times. Doing that will help remove the glaze that has built up on the torque converter lock out clutch pad…

I believe Ford contracted w Retrax in 2020. I use my bed 10-20 times daily and she still slides like new. I even go through the car wash twice a week and it still looks like brand new. 5 years old and 0 complaints. Hopefully Ford will offer these in 2026.

I’ve found that reproduction parts often don’t fit like the originals. I even had a problem with the reproduction screws being too small for the side mirror. It’s like they don’t even care to check that they are the right specs. It seems to be quite common place for these old cars to fight their owners, I’ve definitely had my share of struggles, and I’m not even close to being done yet, so I’d bet there’s more in store. ✌️

2015 Lincoln Navigator - I followed the instructions, and while it has improved, it still cuts out periodically, but so far only briefly then returns. The staticky fade out and fade back in is gone. Now it is just an abrupt cut out and back in. So, improvement, but not the total fix others have experienced. Given the cheap cost and easy fix, it was definitely worth a try.

Worked! Mkz 2015 without sound, I was incredulous, but it worked. Symptoms: only milliseconds were heard every 6 or 7 seconds. Thank you very much!!!

Looking for some opinions here, I converted my ‘66 to dual exhaust, which eliminates the rear bumper guards. Would it look weird if o re-installed the front bumper guards (bumper-ettes) ?

My '23 F150 hasn't been broken into, but Im going to do this mod this weekend in hopes of preventing that. For those interested, there is a seller on ebay who has a 6' relocation harness with the factory horn connectors.

Thank you for finding me this out. My 2014 MKZ with THX was intermittent on the front channel. Took it to the dealer to diagnose, they couldn't duplicate and said all my front speakers and tweeters were bad. Used the same tape from Amazon, so far 2 for 2 on it working!

I have a 2014 Lincoln MKT and I will be trying this. The sound on all the speakers is off except the subwoofer. Ive done some work on this car since buying it a year ago. Ive replaced the electronic shocks with non electronic shocks and struts. New timing chain and water pump. Next to do is the rear differentail fluid. Ive done the PTU.

You didn't show how the cylinders went back in, and that's the only reason I tuned in.

I just bought a’66 Mustang with a single master cylinder.Every dual master cylinder I find is for a V8. Where did you buy the dual master that fits the 6 cylinder?

I want to add this on my mustang 1965 I have stock lights but I’m scared I’m going to open a can of worms electrical problems. What can I do to avoid any issues , relays , circuits ??? can someone explain I’m not very electrical savvy

Installed a Retrax Pro MX on my 21 F150 SCrew Platinum 6.5' bed. Not my first Retrax Pro MX. Was great first year and a half or so. Now it leaks like a seive. Not just along the edges but all over.

I’ve had two 8 footers no problems. Tailgate seal is very important. The wind will create a vacuum and pull water rain. From underneath the tailgate. I’ve had just about all of the types at one time or another. From the toppers to the vinyl roll ups. That fit on top of the bed. One question on the side handle. If you didn’t like pushing on the sides of the roll n lock. Thinking you might knock it out of alignment. What’s the difference of pulling on the handle 8 times a week?
