I have a 2016 MacBook Pro, and 2012 MacBook Air. I wiped MacOS from the Air and installed Ubuntu just to experiment with and see if Linux is worth the hype from the elitists. So far… it’s okay. I prefer the MacOS experience, but Ubuntu is pretty okay. As I learn more I’m thinking I might buy a slightly spec’d up laptop and get a different Linux distro. Using the terminal is cool, but I don’t really understand what I’m doing, I just follow instructions made by others and hope it works lol

I used to have a Dell XPS 13 and swore by Android (only Pixel and Galaxy ofc). I would scoff at Apple. This was me for like 10/15 years. Windows and Android but only the nice looking ones lol. I was a closeted Apple user. In January I bought a 15 Pro Max. Two weeks ago I bought a M2 iPad Pro. Today I bought a MacBook Pro 16 inch M2 Pro.

I have an Asus laptop and this was 90% right except I'm not much of a gamer...but he was right that the games I *do* play I'm often not great at 💀

I use a Vaio from 2009.

I identify as a brand-fluid. But yeah I had phases in my life with different laptops which surprisingly correlate with my mental state described in video. "Apple" phase is "throw everything away and be simple", "ThinkPad" has "tune your tool and dive deeply into work", "Dell" is always "I want to try something else, but in reality I don't need anything"

Where is some logic behind this? If the scale is 1-10 (0-10), why didn't you rate something a 10/10? I get that this video is a joke, but still, jokes can still be logical. Also, claiming "if you have M2 and higher, you have too much money" and not the same for the M1 chip is not consistent, since e.g. machines with M1 pro chips sell close to prices of M2 air machines (maybe ever for slightly more in some cases).

OMG, have you tried to buy a windows laptop recently? Where I live macs are cheaper at this point (and 4 times faster for the same specs). When you buy a "windows" laptop now it's often comes with DOS, so add 100$ for windows, or just put Ubuntu

From a tech perspective, as someone who owned an android that has switched to iPhone. I just find the iPhone and a lot of the Apple system much better than androids and Samsungs. Admittedly Apple is slow to change but what they do have performs very well and on top of that Apple doesn’t need to change quickly because they know people are going to buy their stuff anyways. But overall I find Apple products just much better.

We indonesian has that same problem too, a lot of our people has that "Iphone = rich and wealthy" Mindset, a lot of them take loan just to use iphone so they can look rich and get that validation from their social circle.
