I lost two of my biggest clients and my key business partner in 2024…. I know your pain bro. Lol … But I didn’t complain… God is still good!
He is defintley good and I can’t wait to hear how you maneuvered through it
Thanks for the info! Do you have examples of packages you would be willing to share?
Thanks for watching. I’ll make a video on this soon
HNY to all the shooters and fellow subscribers, So far i have managed to completely switch camera systems. For the past 4 or so years I have primarily been on Panasonic, I have listed all my panasonic cameras, A fully rigged GH6,Cine lenses, A Pair of GH4's with lens etc on ebay, so now I am 85% SONY! I'm now shooting with 2 SONY RIGGED FX30's with 24-70 f2.8 Sigma and one G master 24-70 f2.8. The other 15% is my BM6K PRO that i use for Film stuff, but in a minute i may divest from that as well lol. The plan is to get busy and be productive, and make that money back. I will be travelling this weekend to begin production on a documentary on a few coaches who'll be coaching a street ball tournament in NYC/ HARLEM that will be taking place in the summer. The winning team will receive 100k!! Thanks for always adding value Semeion, you're truly appreciated Sir!!
If you have like a Patreon or discord or community I needa sign up. My focus this year to step away from the creative side of videography so much and tap in on the business and brands for more retainer work.
I don’t right now but this is a good idea
I haven't done any projects yet..
Soon I hope
@@Semesem_ Yeah, I really hope so!
How do u mange to edit all the work plus shooting.
Time management and knowing what scope of work is involved before agreeing to the job
Beautiful
Appreciate that 🙏🏾
I worked dang near a million hours of overtime at my day job thru the holidays… lol I’m finally buying a MacBook! The lack of having a dependable computer made me not really launch out like I wanted to in my business these past few years. We hitting the ground running now baaaabbyyy!!! 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾 film and photography will be my main focus. Been planning on strategy and vision for film projects for local non profits 🎥
I’m happy for you and I hope you crush it.
Let's go man 🔥
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Good stuff
I really love and respect the transparency in this video and as a brother in the faith since of recent this also teaches me to be patient and trust God
I appreciate your comment and thanks for watching
Great content, Keep it up! I will say networking for sure 👍🏽
I feel that, Networking is a must.
That automatic tripod is crazy fam! Nice gear
How do you get your client?
I answer this in my other videos
Can you explain more about the credit option.
I will in another video
I know this page hits 100k sooner or later!! 🙌
I appreciate, I receive this because that’s my goal
My number one focus this year is networking. I realized no matter what avenue I take my business, no matter the niche, I can't get far without getting acquainted with more people in my area. Videographers, photographers, ideal clients, etc.
I feel that , networking is key. My plan is to go to more events and conferences as an attendee and not a videographer
Great video, glad I found your channel. I was searching for retainer packages and found your channel.
Welcome to the community
Going all in is key 🔑
The master key
That Tilta support is 🔥 had it for a month or so. Definitely beneficial if you’re filming on a gimbal for hours. Thanks for all you share! Cheers to 2025!!
I can’t wait use it
have you ever thought about becoming a cinematographer?
Yes it’s come across my mind
My guy another dope insightful vid! Happy New Year!!
Appreciation it thanks for watching
Preach brotha! Crushing it 💎💎
I appreciate it man thanks
I would love to create meaningful connections and open up collaboration opportunities through social media. I also like LinkedIn and I definitely think it's a more professional platform than the others. How do you plan on using those targeted ads that you mentioned in this video?
For the ads the focused is going to be brand awareness , building connections , and driving traffic to my website
@@Semesem_ I love it, man! I can't wait to see what happens this year!
Looking forward to watching you continue to grow. I'm in a similiar boat looking to do slightly less bookings but of higher quality/return. 2024 was a grind for sure and that grind will continue but it's more of a fine tuning phase now.
It was a grind for sure. Let’s get it
Love the hat!
Thank you just got it
I am looking to grow with ads and explore other ways to film other than weddings. Looking forward to viewing your education.
Ads might be the way to go
The Gun Show came to town! 💪
I can’t get away from it
What type of friends you have where you buying them lenses LOL I need more friends like you my guy haha
He’s one of my best friends and he couldn’t invest in himself like he wanted and it was a birthday gift
@@Semesem_ You a solid guy 💪🏽
@ I try to be when I can
What was that air brush thing you used at 7:52? I’m a new videographer and I just had some shoots where I had a dust spot in the lens but that looks like the answer to that problem 😂
Rocket air blower
HNY!! Couple things I’m looking to do in 25… want to experiment w real estate content creation. Big thing is working on interview lighting. Wishing you the best this year!
Happy New Year 🙏🏾🙏🏾 I hope it’s great for you as well
Bro please create a mentorship program idc how much it costs I need that in my life. I want to learn how to grow my business ( as a Christian man) I know you’re a believer too and iron sharpens iron. Not only that but how to balance family and everything else.
That’s a great idea. I’m thinking about something like that. Stay tuned 🙏🏾🙏🏾
@ for sure bro have a blessed year 🙏🏽🙏🏽
You can do it. You are in the position to raise your price due to your experience and expertise. Trust me the higher clients are easier to work with.
I think that's a great point.
my 2025 goal: niche down even more narrow and limit the number of clients to 20.
I loved niching down but now I want to expand out of it
So 324 projects is insane! Lol! Shoutout to you bro! However, 324 projects, charging a MINIMUM of $1,000 would be $324,000. Factor in losing 30% of clients by having a minimum billing amount and that's still about $234,000 MINIMUM. That's an amazing base to build off of! Kudos to you!
It was a crazy year for sure! And I appreciate the insight , but charging a minimum of $1,000 isn’t how businesses grow. They grow from client relationships and reputation . If these were corporate projects I would agree , but that isn’t the case. And some of these projects just don’t warrant that type of pricing . Again I appreciate the insight but I’m not going to run my business like that unless I’m dealing with agencies and corporations
Love the tips and insights as always, you got it locked ser! 💪 Hope your channel blows up so you can snag sponsors and free gear, haha! 🎥📸 Lets smash 2025 🚀
I hope so too! I appreciate that
Happy New Year! Crazy numbers for one man! How many of those projects did you strictly film and how many did you actually edit?
All of them , I didn’t outsource at all this year
Happy new year 🥳 Like from me as always)
Happy new year 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Happy new year, bro! Wishing you more success in this coming year. Thank you for sharing all that you do.
I appreciate it, I’m glad you’re watching.

Thanks for this I’m goin to try again
There’s no way I’d do all that for 800. I would say minimum 1500-1600 avg. gotta stop allowing these clients to bring down our value. Before the run and gun videographer studios charged THOUSANDS for this type of production and here some of us are devaluing it SMH
If you close this amount every client you should be teaching.
@ actually I don’t at all. I’m in your boat, avg order ticket value is 350. The difference is I ONLY offer services tied to the listing; photos/listing video/drone matterport etc. My listing videos are 60 secs and very basic cookie cutter aproach. My philosophy is this..RE agents typically have a low budget, anywhere from 150 unfortunately to 350 in my experience. You can definitely make a good living even with that low of an avg ticket value but my KEY is this. If the budget is that low how can I allow them to dictate the deliverable? After all anywhere else in business when you have a custom product it’ll require a custom price right? So since it’s a low budget I have taken the Eli Jones approach to this industry. Create a product that fits their needs in that budget. I offer 100 dollar iPhone video add ons that speed up and slow down. Takes me 15 mins to shoot and cost me 10 dollars to outsource. My 60 sec cinematic reel with drone is 375, the agent is allowed 3 one line hooks plus 2 non verbal shots and it cost me 35 outsource. My editor adds just enough spice to video with the agent disappear effect and 3D text that agents believe its value. I don’t edit not 1 project. By keeping my services straight forward and simple I’m able to run a business solo by utilizing Ayreo for bookings and delivery. They pay in order to download. Been doing 275k a year for 2 years and I’m not overwhelmed compared to the first 2 years when I was doing 90k trying to do everything alone. I get it to each their own but once you exchange a money for a service you are a business so must treat it as such. To end this, all I’m saying is by your channel you obviously are extremely skilled and can provide shit tons of value to your clients. This type of knowledge should bring you wealth. If your clientele doesn’t value that which obviously they don’t, then you must target the right clients or drop your service/deliverable down to their budget. You will not sustain long term success that way
Wow…there’s always something new to learn. I’ve never even heard of this type of event. Thx!
I’m glad you learned something 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Thanks for sharing. I am grateful for these types of videos. I’m curious about how these events go down from the photographer/videographer prospective !
I’m glad you found value in watching
For the outside shooting, did you need an ND filter and how often did you use your flashes for those conditions?
No I didn’t need an ND. Because we were shooting at High noon I used my flash for every shot
@@Semesem_ Thanks
I come from tech so I have that but I ALWAYS bring my laptop, always. I’ve regretted so many times that I just default to bringing it, keep it hidden in the car or just bring it on your backpack.
Thankfully I didn’t need it
Omg … that glitches comes from osmo pocket 3?
What glitch
@@Semesem_13 sec, 47 sec etc … when you move OP3 fast it glitches:( How old is camera?
@ it’s the OSMO action 5 - came out Sep 19 2024. I didn’t even notice this. But maybe there’s a firmware update for it 🤷🏾♂️
@@Semesem_ interesting 🤔 thanks for info. Good video 👍as always like from me

I appreciate the comment. Just type is dual strap camera holder on amazon
