Thanks for the upload brother. I have a client that makes an incredible amount of changes and that’s partly to blame on me because I accepted his changes so sometimes the money ain’t worth a headache.
@@boxparody9788yeah I’ll have one conversation with someone on how we should move forward to make the workflow more efficient. But if they don’t work with my flow I’ll just move on
Great topic. I need to define what differentiates a revision and a re-edit in my contracts. If I have to start from scratch because you did a poor job with the project brief that is a re-edit and not a revision in my books. If I’m substituting clips at a specific timestamp, that is a revision.
The filming, in an area where a commercial license is required. They think if they can film with a phone, it is okay to bring your lights and cameras..... I even had another filmaker go, "we can film, no one will be there in the evening!" When you need a permit. Some people think it is just like using your phone. Then, if you get asked to move on, the client goes, didn't you organise this???? Looks unprofessional. GOOD POINT! 😮
Bro I short this video for my client and it was 🔥🔥 they loved it everybody loved it but the ended up changing the music which pissed me off in ways I can’t explain. Now the cuts are wrong the music is lowbquality smh. When I saw that I was like I wish I would ask Simeon what to do.
A contract can be made to protect you and the client. If your just fre lancing without a contract a client can get work out of you than what they paid and walk all over you. It set an exception of the work, quality, turn around time, how it will be returned, reediting, payment options and keeping records of payments is an example
This is extremely high quality subject matter. Keep the hits coming!
Thanks for watching I definitely will
@seem like a dude I would def have a beer with and rap about business
Good stuff. This applies to the hot graphs as well. Thanks!

Yeah sometimes the amount of work on just one project will make me think will all of the videos be like this. If so I’m out
@@Semesem_agreed. In this particular client I had 2 projects and it got worse by the day by how indecisive he was lol

People be wanting the most amazing special effects editing but don't want to pay extra for it 🤔
Yeah I definitely don’t do anything like that anyways so if I have to outsource editing they’re gonna pay extra
Can you post a video of how you go about editing?!
Yes I can

That is a very good idea for your contracts.

That’s good when you got a lot of clients
At the beginning I don’t think it is possible 😊
In thr beginning most of us try to not be bothered by these things but after awhile you should stand up for yourself

It’s happened to me a bunch of times. But I just give them what they ask for and I keep the original copy for myself and my portfolio.
Facts bro!!! Thanks man. 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Sh!t happens, clients buy the product, if they want to change the music, not much you can do. Just move on.
Man contracts seem irritating
@@citystarproductions6703 it’s more irritating when you don’t have it
