Amazing video 👍🏻 As much as I’d love to delete the app because it’s toxic most of the time, it still helps me a lot with studying, most of the accounts i follow are about education and they’re encouraging, or about art, photography, music, cooking, and the stuff I’m interested in, I’ve basically unfollowed all of my friends and this move made the videos i see on my feed less toxic.

I don't use Instagram or any Social Media except UA-cam. I was forced to use Social Media (Instagram/Tiktok) when i was getting my degree as part of some of my classes. I was told that views are way more higher on Tiktok than UA-cam when posting content these days. And quite a few UA-cam videos have Tiktok watermarks in them. Alot of "haul" content creators link to their Instagram to see more content which can be interesting to see their interests and get more views. But at my job Instagram is a major problem, we have thousands of workers and probably 40% of them are looking at their phones during working hours which means they are getting paid to look at Instagram. My supervisor once told me that they are monitoring workers who are on Instagram constantly by simply visiting their Instagram/Facebook pages and looking at the time stamps of their comments. Its out of control.

The problem is forcing people to read the Koran in Arabic. Christians read the bible in their language and sing from hymn books even in the most remote African village. This promotes literacy. Muslims are also extremely rigid and resistant to change. You will not become a creative inventor in such an environment.

Most people in the West do not have a problem with Islam as a religion. What seems to be the issue is islamist ideology .Thus , the reaction many westerners have can be rightly called islamistophobia. An they are right to be worried about islamists who promote an islamic state and the implementation of Sharia law in the West.Perhaps muslims can fight islamophobia by not promoting the islamist ideology in the first place.

    • @ahkkariq7406
      @ahkkariq7406 4 місяці тому

Muslims cannot fight Islamism for the simple reason that they hold an Islamist as their foremost role model. Otherwise, phobia is an irrational fear, and fearing the spread of Islam is to the highest degree rational. Wherever Islam makes its presence, they take over - unless the original population adopts the same barbaric methods that Muslims themselves use to kick them out.

I'm a huge Jewish Zionist and one of my wrestling and BJJ team mates is a young Arab Muslim man from Lebanon I believe. We keep our differences out of the gym and focus on wrestling and jiujitsu. Problem with bigots of all groups is that too many people act unemployed with nothing better to do than be a jerk to someone to overcompensate for insecurites. We also need to go back to making things like sex, religion, and politics personal and private matters again. No one has any sense of personal privacy any more due to social media. Resonate with this topic! I would add though that sometimes we are so conditioned to believe that we deserve this treatment, we don't raise our voices. However, times are changing and actually, if we have an honest conversation about how the experience was unfair, most of the Western population are open to hearing and accepting the wrong. Especially, with their own history, the coming generations are far more aware and well-versed of the treatment of their ancestors, and want to take a different approach. Hence why, speaking up on this, without any fear, is always a good option!

As a Maltese, I am pretty much at the border between the Western christian World and the North African Muslim world, and the biggest problem I see in the Muslim world is Islam itself. Of course, I'm not saying Islam is a bad thing (I'm even thinking about converting), but religion is to much present in the politic life in many of those country, and to me it's like a break, because if you have to think if any political move you do as a leader is going to upset the clergy and more rigorist part of the population who dream to live like a 7 century arab nomad, well you end up with a society late on the rest of the world. As the video bring it up, you also have a lack of social equality. Finally, the tribal mentality that you can still find in many Middle East country, it's also a huge break because you have no real national idea, and it looks like people will accept changes only if it goes in their tribe way and if they gain something (just look and the war between Arabia and Yemen. Arabia would have lost the war if the US didn't come to help them because a good part of the Arabian army didn't want to follow orders from superiors from other family or tribe, you can't build a serious political power if the population doesn't follow the head of state). I really hope the Arab and Muslim world will evolve in the good way, more secularism and a more equal society is the way and it will 100% bring peace and prosperity to many people in that part of the world. And I think that Europe is a good exemple on how you can evolve and still keep your religious and cultural roots. Peace be upon you all friends.

are you guys delusional or mentally retarted? Islamic mathematicians made significant contributions during the Golden Age of Islam, from the 8th to the 14th century.: Algebra: The term "algebra" itself is derived from the Arabic word "al-jabr," which refers to a mathematical method for solving equations. The mathematician Al-Khwarizmi, often considered the "father of algebra," wrote a foundational book on the subject, where he introduced systematic methods for solving linear and quadratic equations. Trigonometry: Islamic mathematicians, such as Al-Battani and Al-Khwarizmi, made important advances in trigonometry. They studied the properties of chords and developed trigonometric tables that were later used for various astronomical calculations. Geometry: Mathematicians like Omar Khayyam contributed to geometry. Khayyam, in particular, worked on problems related to cubic equations and provided solutions to certain cases. Number Theory: Islamic mathematicians made contributions to number theory, including the classification of numbers into various types and the study of properties related to divisibility. Decimal System: While the decimal system itself originated in ancient India, Islamic mathematicians played a crucial role in spreading and popularizing it. The adoption of the decimal system with the use of Arabic numerals greatly facilitated mathematical calculations. Optics: Mathematicians like Ibn al-Haytham (Alhazen) made significant contributions to optics, including the study of light reflection and refraction, which had implications for the development of lenses and understanding vision. and have you even considered the architechcial genius of the the buildings of saudi arabia, UAE and Qatar?

Islam was at the forefront of Science, until we lost it all at Baghdad. However the basic premise of Islam has been Humanity. Today we don't see the great work that Islam does for the Western world. The problems that the West have are depression and unhappiness. They will try to solve this with drugs, alcohol, depravity and this only makes it worse. Islam gives you the peace of mind that is hard to quantify as there is no proper research being done.

You said in another video how important it is to learn history. Do you actually do that? Islam is not a system as you presume @6:00. Islam is a web or matrix of ideologies (political and theological) and actual systems (Caliphates of the past) took from it what they willed. You must come out of your dreamy thinking about Islam being a real-world instantiation of ideas (the way constitutional democracy is). I know you are not going to like this, but here is the bad news for you: Caliphates in the past (not one of them!) were not anything "Islamic" ("Islamic" in the sense Muslims today would like to imagine). Again, I know you are not going to like this: start reading with attention and care Hayrettin Yücesoy's "Disenchanting the Caliphate". Then read Wael Hallaq's "The Impossible State", and other books about real caliphal history, and come to your own conclusions about whether Islam is any sort of actual "system". Hallaq's book although well-wrought is a little outlandish, but that's my bias. Then do something else which will cause you even more heartache: study as objectively as you can Shia Islam. Shia Islam by and large preserves a wider and more accurate memory of the 7th and 8th centuries (and yes, even 9th century) regarding theological as well as political ideas.

Are you crazy? Muslims lost their "originality"?? It's the opposite actually, Muslims have been cemented and stuck in what is their "originality", this originality which is the Sunnah that developed and crystallised in flagrant and brash opposition to the cosmopolitan, knowledge-oriented imperial world of the post-Umayyad period. The true Islamic originality is to set the faithful apart from as many as influences as possible of those arrogant, gross heathens (whether they be industrious Christians, those long-lost clever, hyper-creative pagan Greeks, and those hard-nosed speculation-prone Persians, and of course Hindus which in character and flavour are a union of the first two). Islam is a civilisation of law and normative compounding. And Muslims sadly think that religion and faith are about being on the side of jurists (their oh-so precious scholars), and not on the side of non-juristic scholars (non-juristic scholars meaning scholars in just about every creative and investigative endeavour of human life).

in Edward Said's "Orientalism", Said, a Palestinean-American, talks about the history of western academics assuming eastern nations are essentially inferior. It's a very ugly history, a shameful history, a record of western scholarship shown to be absolutely racist and ethnocentric. Said also says that these ideologies are now being reproduced within so-called oriental nations. Along with coca cola and films featuring middle-eastern terrorists, scholarship that defines the east as innately inferior are also spreading within these muslim nations.

Faith is also not having to commit oneself to authoritative interpretations by others who do "have skin in the game", which is to control their masses because this continues the survival of their "profession". Believing in dogma is fine for an individual if that offers truth to them, but often the dogmatic are telling others what their truth should be, and this is basically the story of orthodox Sunni Islam(s), a grotesque enterprise of a very, very high order.

Brotherhood, mutual respect, taking care of each other is far more important than so called technological selfish development of own and spiteful destruction of others. It eventually comes back to hunt down itself. That's how we are seeing progressive decadence of Western society. Western civilization is nothing short of self glorifying selfish and individualistic society. And the muslims who are western educated think in the same pr similar way as the western people.

@DavidBlacksmith-gf2mh There's a chunk of Muslims in India too (not just the West, where Muslims can be and are radically different in thinking from quote-unquote "the rest of Muslims"), and Indian Muslims (by Indian, I mean Indian subcontinent) have the philosophies, religions, and arts of Indian civilisation that inform every aspect of their values and aesthetics and beliefs. There is no such thing as one stew that Muslims can be a part of. The Sunni orthodoxy has been trying for ages, and their efforts and fantasies have never materialised.

It’s not just the West. It’s virtually every region. In Asia and South America. There is not a single Muslim that is on par with Argentina for example. Even in Asia, compare Indian Hindus to Pakistanis or even internal Indian Muslims. Hindus are far more ahead of Muslims in every field. The main problem is the anti-science and anti-rationalist views and beliefs of the Muslim Sunni clergy. Iran is Shia but significantly scientifically advanced and remains quite rationalist in aspects of theology. The backwardness has roots 300 - 500 years ago when Europe was coming out the dark ages into the Enlightenment age. The Imams have do not want to confront this but want to actively take Muslims back to the 7th Century and don’t understand the implications of theocracy in this complex highly technically advanced countries. Yet these very people will use the fruits and labour of the rational scientific world be it medicine or technology and even vote with thier feet and come to the West whilst simultaneously disparaging everything about Europe and the West. The radical anti-modernist are the loudest and most active ones and usually the only ones that are heard while rational and modern minded Muslims are no where to be heard. The rest are just silent followers. The anti-modernist starts preaching their anti-modernist ideology at the beginning of the 20th century in nearly every Sunni Muslim country and till now there has been no proper response.

I believe that your views on the matter are only very basic insights and you had some ideas I don't agree much with, history can explain very well why Europe became the leader of the world starting from the age of discoveries. The idea for the Muslim countries to become more Muslim rather than following in the footsteps of the west in search of a better result at this current time is just simply bad statement. Sure, originality is important, especially if your goal is to overpass (the west), but making a category of the type of technological advancements the west makes and arguing Muslims should have their own is a clear bad move. A very important factor which I think is very commonly overlooked is the higher appearance of women in all the industries of a society. There are statistics which can prove a clear causation of economic prosperity by the rising of employment of more people, more women. A society practically allowing only one half to take up the burdens and building of a society is a very bad handicap. (I know I'm over exaggerating with my last statement, but a fix to this, a modification of the islamic rules (if you are fond of, which yes you are and the musilim world is too) would certainly only improve in the goal you are trying to achieve. I'm butchering my sentences a little but I would gladly talk to you.

@chickendetective3270 You're not exaggerating in the case of Indian Muslims. Indian Muslim men (the overwhelming majority of them) believe should women do NOTHING outside the home.

Thanks for your comment. Yes, I don't claim to be an expert on this complex matter. Those were just my opinions. Some flawed, perhaps! The problem is we simply cannot modify islamic rules. Islam is what it is. Technically speaking. Of course, realistically you could and there's many muslim countries that do. I appreciate your criticism though. Thank you!

Higher participation of women in the workforce is good in the short run because it increases the workforce, but it seems to be at least correlated with population decline, so societies should consider that when thinking about how much they want their women to be like men.

Women in the workforce has been around since the turn of the 20th century, and a majority of women were working outside of the home (full-time) during both world wars and in the inter-war period. Fertility rates did not decline, and post-WW2 fertility rates soared both in America and Western Europe. The fertility rate was sky high. Fertility rates start to drop dramatically in the 80s. This is because of having seeing the results half a generation in of social liberalism (which includes the sexual revolution) and contraception and, further, cost of living is spiking up more and more. It is not women in the workforce that leads to declines in the birth rates. Economists say that a a contemporary solution to increasing birth rates is actually bringing more women into the workforce to lessen economic insecurity. This is exactly what Italy wants to do: make more women work (in stable full-time positions) so they can start families sooner.@@goblinsdammit

You are fully right. But it is very difficult to change these distorted problems. First it is education and second point Muslim should have good knowledge of history, philosophy (acquiring sound logic), science in all fields. It is very hard to change the mind set if we are not open mind and ready to learn and progress in understanding. And able to challenge some bad decisions and what is best for all mankind globally.
