    To break push up plateau is it OK to progressively bring your grips closer? Does it increase intensity? 🙏

      Yes absolutely. Bringing your hands closer together starts to put more and more emphasis on the triceps rather than the chest. That's a great way to progress into doing them properly 👍

    Hi. Is it normal that my neck muscles hurt during this exercise?? I can't realize if I am doing this exercise properly.. Also, I feel like abs are working too. Maybe I am doing something wrong...

      Dont force your neck up. Let it naturally elevate when you push. Also it's natural for abs to work, but not too much. Dont use your ab muscles to elevate your torso. Use your elbow more.

    I don't usually post comments - but felt I had to on this occasion. Your tip on reaching over to take a handle grip rather than through, therefore routing under the shoulder rather than over, was an eye opener for me. I have bi-lateral shoulder tendinopathy and have suffered for years (too much training and wrong form in earlier years) My attempts at workarounds have always been difficult and needed constant awareness whilst training. However, this simple change to my grip brought about instant relief to all my cable pressing routines, I have zero pain or discomfort, not the constant strain and aches that I've become accustomed to. All I concentrate on doing is ensuring the handle grip is seated onto the base of my hand to avoid the thumb taking any weight and I'm away. Thank you so much.

    Does this also trains your shoulder? Cause when i do this, i feel my shoulder works hard. Or maybe i do it wrong?

    • @Brhino_pk
      @Brhino_pk Рік тому

      Hey Pandhu, you could be doing it correctly and it's just that your shoulders aren't as strong as your triceps. The other possibility is that your shoulders are hunching or rolling forward which can place extra strain on them. You really want to avoid doing this as it can lead to chronic injuries in the long run. Do either of these scenarios sound like they could be the reason why?

    • @pandhumahendra3315
      @pandhumahendra3315 Рік тому

      @@Brhino_pk thanks for the reply. Seems like i have two of this problem. I'm now starting to train my shoulder. But about the shoulder rolling forward, i've tried to keep my shoulder in the right position before doing push ups. But i feel like my shoulder got rolled forward again in the middle of my push ups, especially when almost reaching failure. Is this just my feeling because my shoulder works hard, or the shoulder can really rolling forward in the middle of push ups?

      Looking at yours other videos it seems that I have misconceptions about this machine... as usual, lack of knowledge doesn't help to be on the right side. And, last but not least, im surprised how easy is to understand you, as normally Australian people have their own "special" pronunciation, but I suppose that's not depending on my improved comprehension but on you. Thanks
