Two new double increases: YOT increase and Lace Twincrease
This video shows how to knit two new lace double increases using the Twincrease technique. Both double increases are very beautiful and can be used to create endless symmetrical lace patterns, for example the Lace Chain pattern.

Triover - a new triple increase knitted from a yarn over

In the same way as we used the Twincrease technique to make Twinover, we can use T-increase to make Triover - a triple increase made between the stitches from the double yarn over. The resulting hole has a symmetrical octagonal shape and can be very useful for lace patterns. So glad you like my videos. I'm sorry to say that there is no pattern for the peacock hat. It is very complex to do and I've never thought about making a pattern. How loose or tight the stitches are, depends on a personal style of knitting, yarn tension, sometimes the type of yarn and many other factors...

Как жаль, мне очень хочется помочь Вам! Имеется несколько обязательных условий для получения аккураного Дистичного края: 1. Использовать только для сжатых по вертикали узоров: платочная, английская резинка и подобные; 2. Вязать строго по вертикали, без прибавок. Диагональные кромки будут стянуты! 3. В начале ряда после того как мы переснимаем первую петлю, рабочую нить не затягивать! Наоборот - ослабить её а петлю вытянуть и сделать длинной. Если и это не помогает, можно использовать трюк рекомендованный для кромок с Айкордом: сразу после снятой кромочной сделать накид, а в следующем ряду его сбросить. Пожалуйста попробуйте так связать, надеюсь это поможет.

Assia, Hi. I am going to start a mesh stitch pattern from a channel called Crazy Hands Knitting here on You Tube. You mentioned garter stitch with ds patterns for edging but which one would be appropriate for other non garter stitch patterns as in a mesh pattern? Dear Susanne! I'm glad you like Distitch. Slip DS selvedge is suitable only for the vertically compressed stitch patterns (garter, brioche and similar). Если вязать платочной вязкой по прямой, то край не получается стянутым. Смотрите многочисленные видео с готовыми шарфами. Если же вязать по диагонали - то будет стягивать. Степени стянутости у Дистичной кромки и у Ай-корда - совершенно одинаковые. Так что, если и Ай-корд, и Дистич вязать туго, а платочку свободно, то конечно получится стягивание... Поэтому, попробуйте сменить номер спиц на меньший, чтобы платочное полотно получалось правильной плотности. Также, важное замечание: после того как мы переснимаем первую петлю ряда, нить нельзя затягивать! Hello Assia. I will be honest and say, I thought this a new style of knitting. I have your book. Its a wonderful way for selvedge to look so beautiful, but am I wrong to think it was going to be a type of knitting throughout a project? Please correct me if I am wrong bc I can't learn what I don't have answers to, and that bothers me. I hope you have more dreams of new ideas as you did with DS.
I'm certain that Distitch is a new style of knitting, and indeed entire garments can be made using Distitch throughout. Have a look at pages 236 and 228 for hats, as well as pages 232 and 224 for scarves. I've also made fairisle mittens and a headband, p 205. There are many more examples on page 206. Distitch selvedges are byproducts of the this new principle of knitting. Good luck, and Compliments of the Season! Assia

There are no increases: Distitch selvedge consists of one stitch only. To make a herringbone appearance, it is worked together with the same but previous stitch. Hope this helps, and thanks for you enquiry. Bon chance!

You are really great at finishing and making invisible and smart looking increases. Where can I get your book? Lena from PurlZknitting introduced you to me. I’m actually 1/2 done with my sofe scarf, and I’m tracking it out to make the edges better. I used an I cord but this is very pretty.
Thank you for your kind words! I-cord is a great choice as a selvedge for the garter stitch. In comparison with I-cord, Distitch slip selvedge is less tight and more elastic. Dear Dana! You have few possibilities. First, work both DS selvedges as knitDS, and purl all sts in between. There are two types of selvedges: the open selvedge and the closed selvedge, the video above is for the closed one. Please look at another variation too. Or, you may try a purlDS selvedge variation! This way all your sts will be purl stitches - the selvedges will be purled and the sts in between will be purled. For the purlDS there are also two types of selvedges, open and closed.
