Hi - thanks so much for checking this one out and commenting! The other day when I was ordering I actually thought of you and your comments as I was sure you had a variation of this model line.....and I did remember that it didn't end so well for you, well, your Chromebook!! Was it a Pentium Gold processor you had in yours(?) This one looks/seems great, early days though. The heat from the processor when using it on my lap isn't too much fun in the summer heat! Thanks very much for the update on the LED bar. Just earlier when I opened the lid I noticed the light bar wasn't full and it became so obvious that it must be a battery indicator. Interesting idea, guess it may be handy, if not unique. Is it a little sad I'm now intentionally trying to let it run down to see it go amber? 🤣 Hope things are going well with your ASUS. Hi, thanks for checking the video. Are you not thinking of the more recent 16 inch model there where they had the 'regular' version and the gaming Chromebook with the 120hz display?

@@MergeDroid You are correct, there are so many variations and naming schemas (ideapad 5i) of the same model it is hard to manage which one. Thanks for the video!

@AxemanMessiah no worries, yup Chromebook naming is confusing at best and quite often a nightmare 😂 See my update on the name of this one in the pinned comment as an example! 📍 The Lenovo gaming Chromebook looks great though. I came close to buying one, but finding a good deal is tough. Hopefully in time I'll get hold of one and some of the newer gaming Chromebooks from the likes of Acer and ASUS too.

Thinking about it! It's either that or a museum in the future! 😂 I do sell most of them on locally as this helps fund the next one to feature on the channel, I just need to look at how I do this and if I can perhaps improve the efficiency of it and maybe hook into offering Chromebooks to the local UK audience here. I really like this one so far, typing this reply on it. Shame it was too early for Chromebook Plus, certainly not a case of the processor not being capable as this 11th Gen Core i5 should out perform the 12th Gen Core i3.

It's autonatic. Double check the spec you have, probably one without the touchscreen? As I mention it's an option.

If you have the original box check the side of it for the spec and/or find the model number on the bottom and look it up, but expect it's just a model variation without one unless it was working previously? Sorry, hope you're not too disappointed. Is it a recent purchase, something you can return easily if not happy with it?

Hi, do you mean for the convertible version that comes with the stylus? I'd imagine it's just support for the most basic of stylus. Why do you ask, do you need to replace a lost stylus?

Hi, hope you like the Chromebook. How do you mean by too big for the outlets with regards to the charger? You mean physically(?) The Chromebook charger has a UK 3 pin plug(?)

This can certainly handle the monitor requirement as shown and can the software you need all be used through the Chrome browser or compatible Android apps? When you mention the other two Chromebooks it's the Lenovo Slim 3i Chromebook Plus - ua-cam.com/video/DN8IGSkhMV4/v-deo.html and the ASUS CX34 Chromebook Plus - ua-cam.com/video/O6w07enZFw4/v-deo.html a lot of what's 'better' will likely be subjective, it also depends what spec of each individual model you go for, e.g. as mentioned you can go Core i3, i5 or i7 (as I have here in the Vero). If you have exact models you're comparing do let me know the detail too and I can give my thoughts.

Yes my workplace app is compatible with chromebooks. I was actually meaning to compare the ASUS cx34 with I3-1215u processor and the Lenovo slim 3i with i3-n305 processor both with 256gb ram.

@@ankitgoyale3699 Some thoughts between those two below (please do watch both videos to get a full impression). Both good options some some of this is 'splitting hairs'. * Processor: The Core i3-N305 in the Lenovo will sip the power a bit more gently than the Core i3 12th Gen in the ASUS. Battery life therefore a bit worse with the ASUS and the fans tend to give out more heat when you're pushing things. * Support - the Lenovo will have 1 yr extra ChromeOS updates to June 2033. * Back-lit keyboard - I think with that setup you'll have the back-lit keyboard with the Lenovo (but double check using this method: ua-cam.com/video/dHgKl4eMwIA/v-deo.html) and you should have the back-lit keyboard on the CX34 too (just double check, as it is optional in some regions). The keyboards feel a bit different too, the Lenovo's being more 'clicky', slightly more resistant keys, but I'd say with more feedback too. * Trackpad - Lenovo's is smaller, but to me feels nicer that the larger but slightly less precise feeling one on the ASUS. * Build quality/feel - Maybe the biggest one for me, but subjective - I don't like the smooth feel of the lid and beside the touch pad on the ASUS. The Lenovo feels nicer to handle in general and has the aluminium lid and rounded corners. * Display, slightly subjective, but with your spec of the Lenovo check, I think you'll see you get 100% coverage of the SRGB colour space compared to 45% NTSC (which is about 65% SRGB) on the ASUS. Note, my spec of the Lenovo only has 45% NTSC). I'm not sure if you mean you're comparing the Acer Vero 514 to both of these as well or not, if so is it the i3 model? I see it as very close competition and personally may favour it, I like the unique style (again, subjective). Need to think about which 12th gen Core processor you're going for (i3, i5, i7). Also need to be willing to accept/manage the backlit keyboard issue I show here.

@@ankitgoyale3699 Key differences for the 128GB models will largely come down to the exact spec of the Lenovo (see previously linked video on how to check spec), but likely if it's the same as mine it'll mean: * You lose the backlit keyboard on the Lenovo, so the ASUS 'beats' it (assuming your spec has that for the ASUS still) * The screen colour coverage becomes equal between the ASUS and Lenovo

Glad the review helped, thanks for commenting. Is the one you've found the exact spec, with 32GB rather than 16GB storage? Something to definitely watch for. If you can afford to spend a bit more it may be worth it, opening up more choice to a newer/better spec'd Chromebook. Nice, glad you like your Chromebook! Do you mean your hub connects via USB C (rather than Micro USB)? E.g. something like this: ua-cam.com/video/PMQnSA7eHXw/v-deo.html ? That's what I use when I'm travelling to connect multiple monitors and peripherals to my Chromebook.

Hi (again 😃) - this is for your PS5 controller right? Might be worth resetting the controller - on the bottom of it you should see a hole with a recessed reset button - you'll need a think pencil or pin or something to get in there and hold the button down for several seconds to reset it. Also on your Chromebook go into your Bluetooth devices and remove the controller if it made it that far before. With them both reset you can start again with the process to pair and connect.

ps5 controllers always have issues wirelessly, on windows pcs at least they have dodgy support. using a usb cable will be 100 times better instead of bluetooth

I found it pretty solid via Bluetooth but I do now use my PS4 controller more often. New video coming up on the Luna controller soon.
