I'm partial both to the 70's/80's one (that I remember as a kid) and the Dave Koz 90's one (that I watched as a uni student). The modern ones are so short (understandable) but feel like idents for a new programme. 😆

The 1967 - 71 opening is inaccurate. I think that Anthony may have used it as a fill-in because there are very few episodes from that time available. The visuals from 1967 - the year GL went to color - featured the GL logo in Gothic lettering against a blue background. And it was actually 1968 when the blue lighthouse visuals started being used. I hated the 2003 - 05 opening. But the 2005 - 07 openings were my favorite.

I don’t know why they didn’t just keep the 1983-1986 one. Most TV programs would kill to have opening music like that. It’s pretty much up there with “Nadia’s Theme” from The Young and the Restless, and that show has never given up that music.

I miss Another World, I wasn't able to always watch it like I wanted to because school, but just the opening intro alone, always had me hooked whenever I did get the opportunity to watch it. I miss this soap and wish there was a way to access all 8,800+ episodes of Another World. 😞

It's the ending seconds at 1:46-1:51 that are eargasmic for me. There's a touch of a classic luxury to the tone, and it throws me into imagining a beautiful beach sunset with five star hotels all the way along that beach.
