Raster 2 [ALT] Controls
Переглядів 1,1 тис.11 місяців тому
Holding the [ALT] switch allows you to edit the Raster's alternate controls, which introduce a deep set of stereo techniques, from classic to entirely unique. Subtle adjustments to each parameter in the stereo field open up an even wider variety of delay and pitch based effects, while some controls simply filter the repeats, toggle trails on/off, or set delay divisions and modulation assignment...
Tensor | NXT Mode

Particle led the way. V2 was a must have update. I can imagine a couple of things in a v3: 1 simultaneous latching and unlatched processing 2 internal LFO assignable to any parameter 3 more randomized options
Is this the same as reverse delay effects or no?
Three options: (1) Using NXT (dual buffer) mode is the same as reverse delay, you set the length and timing of each reversed segment. (2) Using the SPEED knob is different from a reverse delay - the Tensor analyzes your playing and intelligently reverses in real-time (the old Digitech Space Station had a similar effect). (3) You can also set the SPEED to reverse (7:00) and ON footswitch to momentary to instantly rewind what you just played. That is great for switching between forward and reverse in solos.
Sound starts at 16:42
can it be used as a frequency shifter vs ring modulator?
Yes, set the ring mod/freq shift knob to 9:00 (f.s. down) or 3:00 (f.s. up).
Thank you

I love this
is there a tracklist?
How much is it in the us?oh I found it, 349$ which is 60.000yen here in Japan 😬 I love ring mods and often browse around and this one is so far the best sounding and versatile Ring mod on the market, Red Panda pedals are all good though, I will buy one by one.
Late to the party,,, still want
Hey ho Nate! Long time since the days in the dirt floor dungeon. Glad you are still ramming forward.
@redpandalab - a curiosity, what happens to the sound when one switches between modes? Does the pedal cut, mute or glitch the sound? Thank!
It smoothly switches effects, no cut, mute, or glitch. In "expert" mode, switching modes reassigns the param and delay/pitch knobs without changing the sound, so you can layer and combine effects. (Hold ON-TAP-PRESET to turn expert mode on/off)
This is sick! Good job! Can’t wait to own it.
for tensor 2, i'd love to see a longer buffer (or a halftime buffer mode), front panel presets, and random being replaced with a s&h LFO with variable depth and slew
Would love to see what Nick Reinhart does with this bad boy!!
Is that Mega L doing the demo? :)
Bass -> OC2 -> this => ❤🎉❤
Awesome effect pedal. Got the bitmap 2 and the raster 2. I'll probably add this and you better believe Tensor and the Og context also sometime this year. Well job red panda. Keep rocking 😎👍
It's great,I have it,the Raster2 and Particle 2..Endless fun..
@@patrickr6505 😮 oh I almost forgot about the Particle got to add that to the list also 😂you keep rocking 😎👍
@@phillramirez8323 You too..Particle is awesome..
Magnificent gem..
bravo!!!
Sounds great but a steep learning curve
I disagree,it's pretty straightforward for a Red Panda pedal if you compare it to something like the Raster 2...
@@patrickr6505 fair point
6:20 tones, good stuff
Hello with the midi controller are you able to turn multiple pedals off/on with one button press? IE turn one on and another off.
A little Bon Iver...I hear you Red Panda. This is my next pedal purchase. Love my Raster 2.
Whats the graphic LCD mixer looking thing that John Olson (nice man in the leather jacket) using?
That's an iPad in an Alesis IO Dock. Sorry, we don't know what app he's running.
Wow this adds a TON of options for soundscaping.. I've got this pedal 2 days and am only getting to grips with Density Delay mode.,which is probably 5 percent of what this pedal can do!!..Im definitely going to make presets for all these pitch quantisation modes!!And Im salivating about mixing and matching in Expert mode..in glorious stereo 🤘
But he's music is absolutely shit 😅
Wish the editor would show values...
Is there a way to use the trails button and have whatever is currently playing from the delays just continue (kind of "freeze" effect, but just continue the current program material indefinitely? I know if you turn the FDBK UP it is possible, but what I am looking for is a simple switch that will allow me to keep whatever I am hearing going indefinitely, without having to touch anything else. This was available back in 1980s on the Deltalab 1024 (the red button). I have never seen it on another piece of hardware ever since. I actually have the 1024, but it's so old, and the signal is noisy, and no one will work on it. That red button was so awsum! I used to have two of them, and could "hold" on one, and play using the other one... ah, the good old days...
NO STEREO CAPABILITY.
Not true. You just need a TRS cable to gain access to both stereo ins and outs.
@@TheScreamingFrog916 Not true. This thing doesn't change it's in/out settings to stereo, it just can't stereo, at least my revision.
THE WEB-EDITOR DOESNT CHANGING THE IN/OUT MODES, THE PEDAL IS STUCK IN MONO IN/MONO OUT. PLEASE HELP.
What does he do for living?
The Tensor is one of my favorite pedals. Extremely well built, unique & innovative. It sounds beautiful & is quite versatile. I have a lot of awesome pedals & it's hard to pick a favorite, but the Tensor is definitely up there. I love that thing.
Can’t wait to get this pedal!! Excellent video. Narrator has a really great voice!!
Props to Red Panda for making this available! I ordered one in the minute they showed up in the store and installed it the morning it arrived. It's great to have the extra looping time and stereo capability at last. Couple things I'll offer about the installation: inserting the ribbon cable into the socket was not a super easy thing to do, but with a bit of calm patience and working out the best positioning of pedal, ribbon, and hands I think it can be done without too much frustration. Take your time. Also I got the red blinking error LED when I turned it back on (I think this might be a likely result of the upgrade in many cases?), but all I had to do was update the firmware, which is an incredibly simple process, and Bob's your uncle. !gnirosneT yppaH
Sounds great. Seems like there's some reverb or delay after the Tensor. Does it comes from the Particle?
The Ed Wood of experimental music
Well done for doing this
Definitely going to go for this 👍
I’m glad this is finally available. But as an owner of a pedal that could use this upgrade, $100 is too rich for my blood.
We wish they were cheaper, but these are assembled at a different factory than our regular production due to the lower quantity, which means the parts and assembly cost are higher. We do not make any money on them.
❤
Siiiiiiiick!
Woah, here we go 😊
how does she get it so the pitch mode is intervals, and not continuous pitch shifting so its not in the scale? that's actually a useful effect, while if its just sweeping randomly through pitch like it does for me its pretty much useless
Check out the pitch quantization settings in the web editor or TouchOSC (firmware 2.2). Lots of options there for different intervals. It remembers the settings (global and per preset), so you can just use the computer to configure it once for your workflow. (Firmware updates are on the downloads page of our website.) This video an earlier firmware version, and Alex tuned it by ear.
@@redpandalab thanks very much for the reply!
whens the v2 coming!?!?!?
Tensor was our first ARM-based pedal. It is the same generation as the "V2" versions of our other pedals.
THANK YOUUUUUUUU. I can't handle how many demo videos are just playing with no actual explanation. Y'all are the best, so excited to try this out for the first time this weekend.
Can I connect the Bitmap 2 to a sampler or drum machine? Thanks
Yes, all of our pedals can handle line level (up to +8 dBu). Use TRS to dual TS "insert" cables for stereo.
@@redpandalab thank you so much, I just ordered one! Can’t wait to use it
