Thank you for the video! I got it to work, one thing I noticed was that after clicking on the public IP link to the VM, it attempted to open eve-ng via https , which it doesn't support out of the box. I had to switch to http for the web portal to work.

I have don all the steps to install CALDERA but when I try to access the web interface, I keep getting the error: "500 Internal Server Error Server got itself in trouble". I have done this several times over but keep getting same error. I have tried to install on ubuntu server as well as on ubuntu dsktp - same error. Help please!

Each time I tried to install Caldera (v5, v4.2, v4.1) on either Ubuntu Server or Client, it wanted me to run as a venv. How did you get your requirements.txt to process without having to be in a virtual env?

Gerard, First I would like to thank you for the amazing videos. I am currently following this lab series of yours, replicating it on Virtual Box. I have had no issue up until the macvlan portion. I have configured macvlan and new containers are assigned ip addr of 10.10.20.128 and so on like in your video. the network adapters are in promisc mode, my parent adapter is enp0s3, and subnet is 10.10.20.0/24 with gateway 10.10.20.254 and ip range 10.10.20.128/27 but I cant access any of the web app containers. going into the console of each container in the 10.10.20.128/27 I can ping the gateway 10.10.20.254, but in kali linux i cannot ping any of the web app containers. What could be the issue?

There's no way people can remember all the steps for each of the labs step by step its crazy. For each module There's like 4 plus labs and that's just for one section under a topic eveything can't come on the exams and learning all the steps for all the lab is too much

Most certs are useless without the experience. I have 2 years experience in the networking industry and the only reason I'm taking the CCNA is because of my experience.

slightly off-topic but will you consider making a video on how malware can spread over a network or some of the lab we have created through your series? that way we can also learn how to spot and deal with these incidents because I can't find anywhere a video detailing how ransomware and other recon actions occur

@gerardobrien how do you get your ssh session to resolve the dns to allow log in to the vm's? I have to constantly remember the ip address of every vm in order to ssh into them

if you don't get any logs in Wazuh from your Ubuntu vm because you followed the video literally(like I did) and created the rule before going to create the Downloads folder, Wazuh won't generate any logs, so go back to the conf file and edit it and save again then restart the wazuh-gent

hi Gerard, thanks for another solid content. My question though is why should we already delete the vpn gateway and resources that were created in Azure? aren't going to need it further down the line? or are we going to recreate them?

I'm surprised nobody else here had issues with the command to install the contents of the "requirements.txt" - after countless attempts, the solution was to change the 'aiohttp' version in the file to 3.9.0b0 - these is the version that currently works with python3.12 at the time of writing
