Trad Goth and Deathrock is just a dark take on 80's fashion. Industrial Goth and Mall Goth is just a dark take on late 90's/early 00's fashion. Nu-Goth is just a dark take on the fashion of today. Intentionally being Trad Goth today may involve thrifting, but not back in the 80's. All they did was buy regular clothing and make it goth. A lot of Nu-goth is the exact same thing, buying regular clothing and making it goth.

I'm late but I'm here!! I cannot believe I missed this somehow. Hopefully this popping up in my reccomended means it's starting to get picked up by the algorithm now. Subscribed with notifs on so hopefully I don't miss the next one haha. Anyway, about the Goths themselves, they're some of my favorite characters in the entire franchise. They're hilarious, have great designs, and can surprisingly wholesome at times?? I love the little moments we get between them where they actually express their feelings for each other. On the other side of the spectrum, the moments where the Ice Dancers have their weird one-sider rivalry with them were really funny although I was sad when they got them eliminated. I honestly wouldn't have minded them being finalists. Anyway I feel like I'm rambling now--great video! :D

Black Milk was sooo big on insta 10 years ago! I bought 3 items that held up so well (I still have them as memories from my partying days), but shipping and prices really added up so that was my sole purchase from the brand.

i have no idea if i just have really awesome luck, but within the last couple years i tried to make at least three different orders from their site and each time i received the correct order slip, but completely different garments in completely wrong styles and sizes. i don’t know what goes on, but i kinda gave up on ever owning any black milk pieces lol.

So black milk used to be made in Australia but no longer is. I'm just speculating but i would think that the reason they switched to a Chinese manufacturer is that they wouldn't be able to keep their items at the same price point for as long as they have using labour in Australia. The price of everything has steadily risen here since the late 2010's. Also to keep up with demand using larger Chinese manufacturers would probably help, they have a workforce willing to work for less. Being a person who makes items in Australia by hand I find it really interesting that people don't account for that in the price of a product that is made in Australia. Yet, people seem to want a living wage themselves. If these items were originally made in Australia where the wage is higer minimum wage $21 aud an hour then it explains why they were $50 leggings to begin with. Honestly, i hate the fact the wages are actually so low in places like China because in no way are they actually doing anything in a more automated way when it comes to fashion and these people working behind a sewing machine just as hard as people in the west would also deserve to be paid a living wage. Just something to think about when it comes to clothing as well as many other products. Not saying I'm totally innocent when it comes to my purchases.

I do have an older Killstar item that's not vegan - a 100% wool wide brim hat. Overall I think it's still good quality, and I consistently find XXL pieces fit well, but I guess YMMV depending on the particular piece and your body type. As for the price, they often have sales - it doesn't make sense to buy anything off them (or any of those bigger Goth brands) at full price.

I was a teen back in the mid 90s hot topic height. I own quite a few of the sought after vintage pieces,and I have to say...not only was the style more unique, the quality was amazing. I have one of the newer LS skirts and it feels really flimsy compared to my 90s ones that are still mint. Only thing that obviously doesn't hold up well is the pvc pieces like all pvc sadly. The quality thing is frustrating with companies. I totally understand that you can't get certain materials anymore,but at least get the best you possibly can and up the price a bit. Most of us are willing to pay more for quality that will last.like these old lip service pieces have. But no,they charge astronomical prices for "quality" that isn't there. I imagine this is another reason the older stuff is sought after. It's held the test of time,and you just can't find that kinda aestetic variety.

I loved this style but I was in high school during its peak and early college I couldn’t afford it. Also I was worried about being a poser (not really into goth music but always did admire the look). Now that I can afford killstar idk how popular it is lol. The style didn’t seem to survive outside of tumblr. Which by the way I just freakin miss tumblr fashion lol

Worked at boutique in the early 2000s pre internet ordering and carried their stuff. I had soooo much. The construction was excellent. I had bondage mini skirts I wore with my graphic tees and boots on the daily. glammy and gothy club stuff. I finally retired it as now I am 43 and I would kill to have it back. So much of my clothing from that era I wish I had saved because now I have a step daughter. Not so much the Lip Service stuff, but 2000s early Delias and OG Emily the strange stuff. (we carried that too.) I still have one sheer dress that is nude and corsetted up the back. I wear it over vinyl leggings and a black bra. I refer to it as the naked dress. Now that i think of that, I think that will be my judas priest outfit.

I bought one bag from them. It was the round moon one. I loved it but sadly in a short amount of time the moon vinyl and pleather started to peel off. Only in 2 months I rotated my bags a lot so I wasn’t wearing it everyday. Never buying again for the amount I spent on that bag.

Gwen is All Stars made me hate her character, but I didn't mind her too much for the rest of the run. Even the love triangle cheating in World Tour wasn't too big of a turn off for me since, like you said in the video, these characters are all 16-18 year old teens and they're going to make tons of dumb and emotional mistakes. What made me hate her though was how horrible she was in All Stars with no one ever calling her out. She constantly preaches to others about how she's a good person and belongs on the Hero team all the while refusing to take any accountability for any of her actions. She ruined her friendship with Courtney and took part in the cheating but constantly downplays her actions like she did nothing wrong like?? Not to mention that she's also a terrible girlfriend here. She completely ignores Duncan the entire season and then wonders why he's crawling back to Courtney later on. Hmmm, I wonder. Oh, and this one is just a pet peeve, but her getting angry at Courtney not taking her to the final 2 doesn't make any sense either. Courtney's list said she'd be taking Gwen to the final 3 and Gwen herself says in the next episode that she thought the season was going to have a final 3 finale like World Tour. Meaning that, according to Gwen's own words, Courtney would have been taking her to the finale and she didn't actually betray any deals they made. Anyway, with that rant out of the way. Love the idea for the series. If you need any suggestions over what characters to talk about next, I recommend the Goths from the Ridonculous Race if you want to stick with the TD universe or Jade from Victorious if you want someone equally as messy as Gwen.

I never bought there but been following them for a long time. Back then I couldn't afford their clothes. But the Ai pictures are really bad and sometimes the clothes dont even look the same like on the photo? no model as reference is really bad and also they lose a lot of exposure by not being tagged by real models anymore. I mostly only discovered brands trough other people wearing them like models/incluencers. And they are really bitchy in their replies which is also sad😊
