Sue's stealth Wild Camp at the ruins of Elmin Pits Farm above Ladybower. After this months Herd Walking Group meet up, Sue and two mates retraced the herd's steps and camped in the spooky woodland at the ruins of Elmin Pits Farm. This spot is regularly checked by rangers, so stealth was the key, and absolutely NO TRACE LEFT! Onward! Find us and our group walks here... www.backpacksandbruises.co...

Nice work with the hammocks 👍 did they pack heavy ?
We leave them in our backpacks most of the time, lightweight and easy and cheap enough on Amazon. Any camps and we use the DD Frontline hammocks. But these in the video are easy carrying for day hikes. Thanks for watching.
Thanks , hopefully heading to Alport Castles in the next few weeks if there's a good weather window . Hoping to cook a steak dinner there 😋 @backpacksandbruises
@ perfect place to enjoy a steak 🥩 😀👍
Hello Sue. Good video and it looked like the weather was kind to you. Great views from Hallin Fell with a nice short steep climb 😂. Really enjoyed watching. Thanks Steve 👍
@@stevesdaysoff2759 thanks Steve! It was a great weekend, just getting ready for another one 👍 thanks for watching.

Thanks Stuart, trying to get back out.
Hope you are both ok ?
Thanks Chris, all is well, just not getting chance to meet up like we used to.
Lovely footage ❤
I wish id filmed more, it was a great weekend.
I just walked the snake inn path, it's a beautiful area with hardly anyone else doing the walk.
Me and my good pals hosted our annual Peak District gang bang here a few months back
Spent hours up there as a kid living in combs, camped out loads of times windy but loved it ,one of my favourite places, and not far there are standing stones and remains of stone circles if you know where to look .
Great vid! Really enjoyed it... Minnie Riperton yer nailed it there 😀
Nailed it! Thanks for watching 😆😁
Loving the videos ladies ❤ , I draw a lot of inspiration from your videos and gives me great ideas for where to go , I'm out in the Peak District most weekends and I'm really surprised I've never seen you guys out nd about , I'd love to bump into you sometime.....Sam looks mint with her new blonde hair , it really suits her 🤩😊.....I'll have to get on one of your herd meets one time , I bet it's fun 😂
That’s great to know Stuart and I’m sure you’ll spot us one day, or hear us 😆😆 you are welcome to join our walking group. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@backpacksandbruises Sue have I missed the 3rd part to your American adventure , I'm sure you said it was a 3 parter 😃 or have I got that wrong .....I loved your other 2 American videos they were fantastic , there national parks are something special aren't they , it looked spectacular were you was , I've seen the video of Alex hannold when he free climbs El Capitan.....How brave is he 😅
@@stuartthomas8975 you haven’t missed it, and thank you for your interest Stuart. I realised I didn’t have as much footage on the third leg of the trip and just never got round to editing the vid. It is on my to do list though 😃👍 thanks for watching. And yes when you stand at the base of el cap and see what Honnald did, amazing, and terrifying 😆
@backpacksandbruises Aww brill so I didn't miss it then Sue 😃 , they brilliant videos those American ones , you done a brill job 🤗.....I've also seen the Lost Valley video you done in Scotland Sue , it's absolutely amazing and the scenery is beautiful 😍 , I like how you wondered of on your own Sue to take in the awsome surroundings , it's my sort of thing that , you can't beat that bit of time out on your own in the wild , i would off climbed up high tho Sue 🤩 , it's my dream to go on a Scotland trip 💙 .....keep up the good work ladies , your kids are mint 👌
If in doubt any and all mounds are Bronze Age burials, except maybe molehills. Great banter as always ladies.
I knew it! Thanks 😀
Cracking video, Ladies . Shame that you walk the poor dog so far , that you wear his legs down . I understand he was around a foot tall , when you got the poor fella. 😂😂😂. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us all.
So that's why I'm short!! Sam walks us too far! 😆 Thanks for watching.

😂🎉Happy Birthday
Love you guys you really make me laugh !!!!
Thanks Roger 😂😊
stayed here last night in an emergency which was funny but sooo glad we stumbled out of the mist into this bothy, its quite cosy once you get a few candles going for warmth! xD
As always very entertaining ladies. I could really nerd out at the hillfort, bi-vallate and very like our promontory forts down here. The drone footage was excellent.
Thank you! We love the hidden history in this area. Thanks for watching nerd! 😃😆
Thanks for sharing ladies, great walk, so pleased your back to share yr adventure and make us giggle. 🤭 😂❤
😂😆thanks Maxine!
Yay it's my favourite duo! Backflaps and Boobies!!!
Glad to see you back out loved the drone footage
Thank you 👍👍
That was a nice walk even in the fog, beautiful views when it cleared.
We really enjoyed this one Tina, like a mini kinder definitely worth a visit. 👍
@@backpacksandbruises yes will have to add to my to do list
yayyy the girls are back again great video the fog added atmosphere well done keep well..
mounds you say ? must visit! good to see you both back in the wild :)
A couple of great looking mounds. Enjoy 👍
Try watching it with captions on as it tries to translate
😂😆
Belated merry crimbo etc, epic bothy that, I only found it after the first time you went there, saw you in the bothy book, keep the vids coming I've missed them.
Belated merriment Graham, happy New Year! Thanks for watching 😁😃 that bothy is a little gem.
Glad ya back ladies doing proper walks and talking utter bolox 👍 been looking at that area when AV been in the goyt valley, need to get up there👍
Yep that’s what we do, walk a lot and talk utter bolox, glad we’re appreciated 😆😂
I parked at Combs Reservoir and hiked that. It's a great hike. I had to shelter in that open-ended Bothy thing from torrential rain. It was a good job it was there. It's a pity that the other one is locked. I don't blame you for cutting out Corbar. That's quite a bit extra in those conditions. At 16:24 the pool of water is actually a crater from a V1 Bomb in WWII. (Doodlebug) Great drone footage too. You can actually see the Fort that you can't see from the ground. The V1 information was from The Peak District Viking who hunts out wrecks in the Peaks. Great to see you ladies out on the Peaks again and thank you for sharing.
Thanks for that info Chris on the V1, we definitely will return to this walk on a clearer day, I’ll check out the Viking too. Appreciate the comment, thanks again. 😁😄👍👍
@@backpacksandbruises he is a great channel to follow, as is mine 🤔🙄😂
@@backpacksandbruises thank you 😀😎
@@chrisbentleywalkingandrambling hint taken 👍😃
That was great. Love Combs Moss, very much a mini Kinder Scout, with stunning views when the fog allows 😀 Fantastic drone shots of the hill fort, best I have ever seen that showed it perfectly 👍 Only done the circular once before, going to have to do it again soon!
It does have a mini kinder feel to it, and definitely worth a return visit. Just seen in comments the ‘pond’ was a V1 crash site so worth looking into that too. Thanks Greg 👍👍
Yes, I will return and one or two of the Cloughs on Combs Moss look like they might be a reasonable little scramble, so I might give one a go as an add on. Not as epic as some on Kinder perhaps but worth a look! I certainly enjoyed the views up there, as it was a clear day last time I was there. Had never heard of it, despite hiking around the peaks since 1995. It was Alex Cripps that tipped me off. How could I have missed something as large as that 🙄😬
nice one ladies another great walk great to see you both out again doing what you do best .
Thanks so much 👍👍😄😄
Love it ladies! Never knew you are so musically talented Susan ! 😂 thanks guys xx
Theres no end to my talents haha thanks Abi 😆😁
Crazy hike to get up there but the fortification mounds were cool and the drone shot gave the best view of what was once there.
We were so thankful the fog lifted just in time to see the Hill Fort from above. A great place to explore. Thanks friend 😃☺
Great to see you 2's out n about - knocking up some more vids ❤
Thank you, its great to be making them again. Thanks for watching.
Another coach party rambling 😮.
I know having friends is the worst isn’t it!?
You are both slagging people off for being up there ,whilst you are up there 😮
Don't think the 2024 remake of Name that Tune is going to be a hit but was hilarious.
I thought i nailed the guns n roses. 😆
Happy New Year to you and yours! 🎉🍾🥂🎊
