I like a nice early start and sure was worth it for the Falls, which were amazing what a drop! Felt sure you would have been in for a dip (feet don't count), especially with it being a 'sweaty' trail but an early start always pays off. The views were jaw dropping, mad does not even come close, a great days hiking but I would not want to see a bear, even from a distance, unless I was locked behind a cabin or in a car. Lovely cold beer on the porch and in those chairs you remined me of old Ma and Pa Clampet from the Beverly Hillbillies and I was hoping part 3 was you both climbing El Capitan, tree hugging seems a bit lame in comparison but either way, another very enjoyable watch, cheers Alan
It definitely was a memorable trip, we did go full hillbilly on the porch, that was our favourite spot every night 😆😆 I was disappointed I didn’t see a bear but with those altitudes it’s probably best we didn’t, bear spray wasn’t allowed and we didn’t have a run in us 🤣😂 thanks for watching Metalman 👍👍
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Incredible views, and wonderful seeing it though your eyes. It is on my "bucket list", but considering I am almost 75, and on the opposite side of the country, it is looking more & more unlikely. :( Still, I enjoyed the look of wonder in your eyes as you gazed on the views and took it in. Thank you. Oh, and your squirrel was as cheeky as some of them are around our house!!!
It’s never too late to tick off your bucket list! Thank you so much for your kind comment glad you enjoyed the views with us. And yes the squirrel won in the end, he never gave up, we blinked and he stole a pizza crust 😆 thanks for watching. Take care
utterly lovely, 1 question during you =r foot travel did either of you carry bear spray, just in case. Sorry hardly see the screen really looking forward to the replcament, when cateracts are repaired, cheers
Hi Derrick, bear spray isn’t permitted in the national parks, only in the back country trails. So the advice was to stand still and back slowly away, hmm 🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♀️ easier said than done I imagine. Hope you get the peepers fixed soon. Thanks for watching.
when you was talking about bears and alan? said at least hundred yrds away. they can run at 40mph quite long distances climb trees and swim,.. i would want bear spray and a change of under kecks lol.. great video thanks for shareing the experience..
😂😂 he did say hundred yards with a limp though haha, bear spray is not allowed in the park, a case of freeze and hope for the best apparently…🏃🏽♀️ thanks for watching
Never felt the altitude again after we left the sierras, thankfully!! Allan is definitely a mountain goat, unless it’s raining, a fair weathered goat for sure 😂 thanks for watching 👍👍

How was the altitude sickness?
Blooming forget Messi and Ronaldo.
There is only one goat, Alan by the looking of his climbing in this video
