25:20 face blindness it's interesting... I've gotten "no, it's obviously a face, but it's not a specific face"... I can't imagine having a group book that doesn't have lots of props to tell characters apart, and you have to rely on facial anatomy.

Bernie Wrightson's Frankenstein just takes the cake. One of my favorite illustrations is the one he did of Frankenstein's monster curled up in the straw clutching the papers. His gaze is so captivating.

I loved the interview! It provided a lot of insight, but I would have liked to hear more about Andrew's approach to drawing. He has this way of cartooning that hits such fantastical heights while using minimal lines. I met him years ago in Miami, and he and his wife were super cool!

Thanks for having Andrew on! A lot of food for thought here. As someone who just got started selling their own book, it’s helpful to hear how someone else got started in this era where you have a platform like Kickstarter. It’s also helpful to hear all of the unsexy business side of making comics, because as artists and writers, we want to make things, not be businesses. Like kids, we want to play and not do homework 😂

It's great to see more transparency around the publisher route for creator owned books. Image doesn't provide much information upfront which makes budgeting for a book really hard.

The art thing I’ve never had an issue with. It’s the writing that moves like molasses. Scenes will come to me but plot I really suck at. That’s been a struggle. I wish I was more prolific like Jeff Lemire.
