A comic book artist community that supports indie scene?! That's the one I want to be a part of. I never had a chance to break in to the industry, because there was no internet when I was young and I live in the ass-end of the universe from that eras perspective. I could tell some effed-up stories too about Finland's indie scene from late 80's, but I think I spare you from those for now :D Thanks guys, you're doing important s*it and I love it.
I'm now convinced that the reason Shawn loves to travel so much is to establish a deli everywhere he goes. Great episode, Brandon was a fantastic guest!!
Wow, great convo. I appreciate the pertinent discussion about the state of the industry and surrounding culture from people in the industry, instead of those just chasing clicks or clout.
What a great show. I’m going to have to watch a ton more of these. That magazine idea about indie comics is really interesting too, I will check out that Kickstarter. Brandon is the best, can’t wait to see everything he has coming up.
Always cool to hear Brandon Graham talking about comics. His enthusiasm is infectious. But guys, you've done over 200 episodes of your podcast and you haven't yet learned that talking over someone, even with a quick interjected word of agreement, cuts out their audio on Zoom or whatever you're using? C'mon! Haha
Its an issue we have when the guets doesnt have a mic or ear buds. Its not all the time and we are trying, but its a guessing game and its hard to have a natrual conversation like that. We are trying tho,
Does he say he has a dayjob? Why do artists on that level still need a dayjob? I'm working my ass off to produce my comic, and I'm not expecting much, but I don't want to keep working a dead-end job sametime. That's one of my motivations: to draw and do nothing else.
@@inkpulp Hey, just wanted to say thanks for mentioning buttermilk. I went out to buy some and tipped it over the kitchen counter and it spilled all over the wood floor. Went into all the cracks. I have been cleaning thick milk out of every crevice for hours. Also, thanks for replying, 4 real.
I looooooove Brandon Graham and his style!!! 🤩
God bless you guys. You’re all beautiful. Thanks!
LOL. Thank you!
