Thank you for this. I assume that this is part of an appreciation of Kate Mulgrew. What strikes me here is that, early on, Kate's character is critical of the "Gospel of St. James" at the center of all this -- and by the end, it turns out that she was right to mock it. Everyone should have listened to Kate, including David Janssen.

A very foolish choice of traditional men keeping spouses or companions out from their bussinesses because fickle life can just ditch you and then it’s disintegrations of what you have build for so long worked so hard for in hands of villains, but not all men are like that some keep their better half as their partners in work also a wise and good choice

Oh how I long for the days like this of Champagne and Caviar. When you made $30K and it took onlt $20 K to live on. We felt like we could go to the store and buy all the food we wanted and new clothes when we wanted and even go on vacation. Thankfully as of the 2024 Election of Trump we may see days like these were in the late 1970s!

wow I can't believe I found all these!!! What a great series. I watched some these years back. Im on a binge now. lol

Kate Mulgrew was fantastic in this series. While the plots might be a tad unbelievable, her acting and characterization make the episodes worthwhile viewing. It's hard to believe she was in her mid-20's when these aired-she has the poise, likability, and charm of a veteran actor in every scene.

I was married for 22years and the first time I found out he was chatting on me i put in for a divorce but he told a friend that he had the last laugh as he had 14 affairs throughout our married life i felt brokenhearted as i had really loved him i must have been blind and the worst part of it he had also had an affair with my best friend i never forgave her or him .😢😢😢😢😢😢

This feels like a prelude to Murder She Wrote in some ways. The intro, the writing interjecting herself in everything to solve a murder. She was even on Murder She Wrote 3 times.

The writing on this episode is so odd. Like this woman keeps trying to kill her husband and thinks she'll just be able to kill him with a fire poker and no one will realize it was her?? And then at the end, Kate and the murderer just toast each other all casually. It's so bizarre. 😂 I love Kate though.
