Design Offensive Plays That Win Over and Over
The promise land
I still don’t see how pure progression is right over full field reads any day of the week. If the ball is hiked, I can read instantly where the linebackers and safeties go, which tells me how to beat that coverage all day long instead of trying to go through 1…2….3….4.
Can I fix a messed up prepped ball? I tried prepping my football but totally messed up.
this was great to implement into madden!
I went to practice mode and this works perfectly in Madden!
Can u fix a football that was left in a puddle /rain over night?
Cool vid thank you.
I used gillette, a soft shoe brush, damped towel, leather shoe conditioner, and mud. Feels great. The moisture from my hands gives it good tack.
Was one of my favorite LB's as a kid
Can you just do a chart with what routes beat each coverage. Thks
I’d love to see the run fits for the DL and ILB’s with having two 5 techs and a true zero.
I second the cheerleader’s remarks. Watch where you’re going “elite athlete.”
What is the lineman drag u by the pads
Could be used to hide the signaler from being seen from the press box. Just my take on the manner
Ty
Shit is so hard for me.
Great video. Love the ins and outs of football, behind the scenes stuff. You rock!

Thanks first year qb coach you are helping me teach my inexperienced QBs the fundamentals
First time OC for 8U and as a Juco LB it all clicks! Spacing is key
How route combos can be disguised
I just took a shower! So now I’m about to put on some sweaty gloves, coat my arms in some wet mud and leather honey, and work up an intense sweat by incessantly brushing a few footballs like my life depended on it in my damp 88 degree garage workshop😅👍
This isn’t as helpful as watching game film from the end zone. Why does no one do this? Do I have to pay for it or something
😂 too funny, they belong to the streets
Hello, I really enjoyed the video. I am a second year OC/HC. I am struggling with being able to slow the game down wit my eyes so I can see how to adjust. I also notice that I watch football a lot when on the sidelines and I am trying to just focus solely on what the defense is doing. I am down on the sideline so it’s very difficult to see the fronts and alignment. Can you please give me some exercises on how to improve this. Much appreciated, best wishes. Thank you for your time.
This helps
Where did you get that hands free shield?
Man, the Videos where you Diagram on the White Board like this are soo TREMENDOUSLY Helpful. Please continue to use this Diagram Format. Great job 💯‼️
New to learning football defense beyond the very very basics. Never knew the corner passes off deep routes to the safety in cover 2. I'd rather cover 4 then.
Bunch looks dont allow dbs to press or constantly play man coverage...by the wrs been tight u create matchups. .i love sean mcvays bunch sets Im aTrue student of the game Great content
Bottom wideout could have been open if he use his footwork to not make the Vertical route look Predictable
Thank you for the breakdown, coach.
Great video.
great.story and sesms like a good dude who loves the game .
Quick question...are there any resources that can help with cut-ups? I had a coach who would give us packet each week containing a breakdown of our opponents, and it would give us percentages on 3rd and down for defense, 1st and down for offense, etc.
yooooo I *love* the whiteboard thing, I was *just* thinking about that before you mentioned it!
Great breakdown. I never knew why the steps were odd. Thank you
I run an unbalanced line single wing and we have 2x2 and 3x1 formation. My question is this, do you think this would work at the middle school level or is this too much for my inexperience QB?
OK, but if you come out in a three wide receiver set, don’t you think they would be come out in nickel?
I came in the latter part of that season and you Are absolutely correct on everything except one thing. There was a lot of talent there but with no leadership, was an impossible task! I also played in Albany and you are spot on with the culture there! Coach Buff created that along with coach Hoensee and coach Daily! Three great coaches!
I remember my defensive line coach in high school, here in West Tennessee, had been a starting lineman for Ole Miss in the late 80's. He played with and against alot of guys, who a little later, went on to become some of the biggest names in the NFL. He was a huge and powerful dude, and I remember him telling us one day, at a break in practice, that the transition from high school to college was unbelievable. He said everyone was 10 times bigger, stronger and faster than the biggest, strongest and fastest players in high school.
How do you prevent the lineman from getting his hands on you first? Most lineman i face have much longer arms and therefore more reach, making it so they are able to touch me before i can get my hands on their chest and shoulder
Step in quickly changing pad level. He won't be able to fully extend. Just like boxing opponents has longer reach get inside quickly.
Thank you Coach! I'm a high school OC and your videos help tremendously!
This is the most boring video of all time
😂😂 hysterical Great Story
Play was🔥
She was a team player
Progressions is like hand holding vs dropping back and having the ability to see the full field and make the right read too many times in progressions they miss ppl wide open
Thanks for sharing I remember attending some of those games in Albany. The Firebirds and the AFL are back in Albany but struggling to survive.
The Thurman Thomas zone flood technique helps tremendously in a disguised Co3 via the Co4 look in Sky/Cloud…
It’s not a kill-shot for the back-side of the safety rotating away if the flood technique is taught and executed properly. That entails vision opposite the hips and movement and, at the very least, a back-side awareness by the rotational safety. In fact, we get big plays by having the QB believe the vertical opposite the rotation is a clean throw and target. As in ALL defenses; each has a weakness or, in essence, a weaker element to it in competition to its strengths.
