Neil was really a genius. So sad that he's left us. Been listening to lots of Rutles the last few days.
Yes, and such a shame he is gone..
they were a brilliant parody of the best band the world will ever see
Released on Parlourphone label PCS 7027. 😂😂😂 Ingenious!
unironically good
"Well kindly keep on going if you please..." just kills me. This song is hilarious. And decent just as a song too, but brilliant send up of the loverly Liverpool lads.
"Blowing bits of fluff into the air to tell the time..."
Neil Innes was such a genius!!
Darts Club Band.
The irony is, I always thought it difficult to tell what was serious and what was humour in the Beatles
Ok galing din nila,,
Neil Innes and Mcartneys brother worked on some comedy recordings at one point
Neil Innes wrote soon pretty catchy tunes, not bad at all. RIP Mr Innes
You forgot “Nevertheless” from Stig.
They actually sound like Stackridge here, more Bristolian!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It`s ok for a try, lots of Bands tried that. I`ve heard better versions way better.
What are you talking about? The Rutles weren't a real band, they were a joke. :)
You know other bands made up largely of professional comedians who've done a parody of the entire Sgt. Pepper's album?? I'd love to hear them. my guess is, there isn't a one in existence apart from this one.
But seriously, who? :)
George was a big fan of neil these songs stand on their own, great beatles outtakes even.
