as an old player from 2015 i may miss the soul the game had, but making a whole illegal copy about it is straight up wrong and emberrassing as heck. i would never even dare to touch something like this cuz of nostalgia. id rather wait for texture packs or play starshine legacy

Im the person who made the first reddit post and it was kinda a jumpscare seeing it here lol. I deleted it because i was getting literal death threats and such awful things private messaged to me. Id like to make clear i supported the project before i knew about the horrible owner, the scams and the malware. As i learned about it i did delete it. The tiktok i mentioned in it was made 2 hours ago as of posting that post and all i saw was a cool thing that worked for me and wanted to share, but i forgot how awful the sso community was as they would not have a nice converstation with me about it or listen to my pov and only accused me of putting people in danger? Lol idk 😬

Ehat baffles me honestly is the amout of people ive seen who deny that its a scam and say people are overreacting, like you said nostalgia is a hell of a drug but even nostalgia wouldn't get me to download that evej just MIGHT be a virus

Honestly, I'm not too sure how to feel about this. I am 100% an advocate for games preservation, and that includes online games and their history, even though it's somewhat antithetical to that mere principle. Additionally, I don't think it's necessarily true that the only people wanting to play classic SSO are people who have been playing it the longest; I started playing SSO around 2021 and I do have a yearning for the classic experience just to see what I missed and how different or similar the core gameplay and story was. The prospect is dim but like you said, not entirely impossible. I'd like to see a sort of OSRS-style Classic SSO revival, just to live the experience for myself. Beggars can't be choosers, though. //shrugs I can't really say for sure if Better SSO is a scam or not personally; I'm not skilled nor educated enough to make that observation with certainty. I do, however, sort of feel for the person working on the project to an extent. Is that weird? Idk, like to me, they just seem genuinely hurt in their Discord posting about it and I can understand why people deeming your passion project as malware can be totally soul-crushing... Still rather fishy, though. Asking for money/star coins is pushing it, ngl... I mean at the end of the day, everyone has their own discretion on whether to download it or not (I personally wouldn't because I'm not willing on taking that kind of risk when I don't know how to mitigate around everything if the worst were to flourish from it lol but I encourage highly tech-savvy folk to at least investigate into it further IF and ONLY IF they know what they're doing and getting into).

And no- a trojan can not go through ur wifi to ur phone and steal your info. thats pratically impossible and just rumors.

I am a close friend of varsity ( owner of dynamic - a SSO cheat ) and many people think he supports Larry ( owner/dev of BSSO), but this is false. Varsity is on SSO's side which is basically meaning hes working to sue him. The Viruses that are used are Trojans meaning instead of instantly stealing ur pc and corrupting it, it will steal all ur info- sell it off then corrupt ur pc over once its done. Working behind the scenes right now to sue them. this is illegal.

I know that a lot of people are sad that this turned out to be a scam. Even tho, malware or not, it is illegal. Even if it wasn’t full of viruses it would still be stealing. I heard it even asks for your data/password at the beginning wich in itself is alarming.

I just heard of this and as a sso player I thank you for spreading this information. I think it’s really messed up and I personally think sso should sue them or something 🤷‍♀️.

Haven't watched the whole video yet but would Ike to say- No matter how much I miss old sso or how badly the nostalgia hits me, I will NEVER put my information or PC in jeopardy. I don't want to be caught up in anything like that, and I feel incredibly sad for people who have fallen for this and downloaded it.

Old sso belongs in the trash if people use it to scam people.

I've been seeing a lot of people want the old star stable back but even if you physically did have it's not the same.It's just nostalgia That's what they're missing.They're not kids anymore. We grow up I personally think the new one is better But even if they did have the old one back, it still wouldn't feel the same.They would get bored after a week What really made it fun was staying up all night hanging out with your friends That's what made it special and still being young ❤

I know the sso community always yaps about nostalgia (including me) but even so, i dont think anyone would like old sso to be back. It was still toxic and bad back then , but we all sugarcoat it with memories of the "good times"

I heard about this and I really couldn't believe it. It's obvious that it was a scam; if they had made the old SSO, wouldn't it be "pirated" by other developers? Also, wouldn't it lack servers completely? Suspicious, no? 🤔 It is known that SSO it is a little permissive with its content, but with the hunger for money that the company experiencing they would sue immediately. Seriously, the obsession of the old players should stop and this would put an end to this type of scams. ⭐Extra: you can reproduce the blurry environment with reshader if you want something similar to the old SSO

My story: I was friends with her for a while, she always seemed nice (while I was online) and I liked being friends with her. (This was during the drama) I do not have any social media and I only found out about your channel a week or two ago, so I did not know that she was doing this stuff. It was until I got on one day and I looked in global chat and saw her saying stuff like that. I unfriended her, reported her and put her in my ignore list. Again please do not bash me out for once being friends with her.

Thank you for spreading awareness- I have an irl friend who plays sso with me, and almost did this on her MAIN COMPUTER and MAIN ACCOUNT. I stopped her as she was telling me about it and I told her it might be suspicious if it’s not by SSE - thank goodness I stopped her.

tbh, horse life was fun at first now there is too much quests, too much greedy ppl and its just not fun anymore. I quit when it came out of beta as I'm not doing quests just to tame horses?. ANYWAY before i get hot headed hear me out you should play rdr2 for a video! (or rdr online/or try to get on the rift sever!)

tbh once the races came out, its harder to get atleast 4 people who somewhat know what they're doing with bosses. my friend finished a boss on her own, and shes played less than i have (i got her into it after it fully released). if its only 2 people its near impossible to finish the boss in 11 minutes, and you can get DAMN lucky to get a server w/ 10 people doing the boss & getting it to tier 3. the rewards tbh are kinda shit, i've been getting a lot of food this past week and not much accs/lassos and loose atleast 5+ to up to 10 or 12 lassos per boss, depending how unlucky I am or if I'm getting enough help that it goes by fast. i was also sad to see the auction kinda die, but i still like to use it and have sold horses still through it, but i miss being able to negotiate and have a bidding war on good horses, but honestly the auction was also kinda shitty on its own. people put up horses nobody wanted and it almost took a minute for them to pass, so waiting for your horse to go up took forever. I think they should balance the auction & market place where theres only like 2-3 horses allowed to go up at your stand to prompt use of the auction, or only have it used for accs/items. I do like this game a lot, I've been able to get horses I like but its sad that once you get a fantasy winged horse, you kinda cant go back to riding normal horses or normal wings that are obtainable because fantasy is just so OP. I'm glad you can only really breed fantasy winged or buy potions from people who had them and never used them before, but the market w/ glow and fantasy gargs can be rough. this is such a long comment about my opnions on just some shit about horse life, so thank you anyone for reading it. i've played since beta and its sorta showing... alot 😅
