Something interesting I would like to add about the word "church". In the bulgarian language, there is tsurkva and czerkva(pronounced as in Czechia). Tsurkva means the administrative part of the establishment and sometimes the building, while czerkva signifies only the building. Another thing, in 2:23 we can see there is a substantial difference between the words utilized for "school" within the borders in Europe. Whilst most of the eastern european countries use "shkola" as the word, it is as much utilized in Bulgaria and Macedonia. Another fun fact, kniznica (the word for library) was used back in the day as the primary word rather than biblioteka. The word "palace" is also an interesting case as, although "dvorets" is the most used one, "palat"(written as the romanian example) is also quite common.
Ahududu>böğürtlen, frambuaz in Turkish I am from Blacksea region in Türkiye and in my region blackberry means "more, mora". I think remained from Greek.
2:50 in Slovenian "hladen" means "cool", not "cold", it's a lighter version. The word for "cold" is "*mrzel*".
Polska Chiny nie Chinye
4:58 bro Holland is a province I think inside the Netherlands. Please get that right next time, it’s like calling the entire US California because that’s the most populous state.
3:57 are they really different if they mean what USA means? Also I’ve never heard anybody from Norway call the USA “AFS,” it’s either Amerika or USA (pronounced ooo - ess - ahh)
3:20 Romanian uses ,,Mov" waaay more often than ,,Purpuriu" 3:50 We also use ,,Maro" way more than ,,Brun" 4:50 It's ,,Portocaliu", not ,,Portocale". ,,Portocale" means ,,Oranges"
6:21 i find it funny how in german and dutch it means icecold
I will show you guys how Hungarians type eat or like eats or idk but the it is: Eszik Eszek Eszem Ettem Ettél Zabálsz Zabáltam Zabáltak Ettek Esztek Zabáltak Evés Evést And etc,etc... Hi in Hungarian at 10 likes 👇
7:22 -Russian: Bezhevyy the same as in Ukrainian
6:52 - Russian: Biryuzovyy, not Biryiza
2:52 - Russian: ZelIonyy or Zelyonyy or Zel`onyy, not Zelonyy
1:21 - Russian: Blue - Goluboy, Dark blue - Siniy
1:51 - Russian: chOrnyy, not chErnyy
1:22 - Urgent! The secret of the name of the famous Turkish jeans brand has been revealed!
How is english ‘zero’ close to german ‘null’?
Kivételesen a magyar "egy" és az orosz "odin" (adjin) meglepően hasonlít. Egyébként a finn/észt yksi/üks etimológiailag rokon a magyarral. Lehetséges a finn-ugor eredet ebben az esetben?
Україна: budynok=dim=oselia.
I relate german Allein to english Alone, for Lonely I'd choose Einsam
İn türkish hurricane is tayfun
2:27 Romanian "insetat" means "thirsty" 😄 "hungry" is "infometat"
Who gave colored pencils to the toddler?
The Spanish "fontanero" for "plumber" has a corresponding word in Italy in the florentine dialect word "fontaniere'. In Italy there are also other dialectal words, beyond "idraulico", for "plumber", like "trombaio" (this one too, in Florence), "stagnino", "stagnaro" (this one in Rome)...
2:40 if we are talking bout weather, then it's "cald" in Romanian. "fierbinte" refers to material so hot you can't touch, like boiling water
In Switzerland, it is more common to just say T-Shirt. Liibli is a bit old fashioned, I think. And shorts are called Shorts or kurze Hosen, Hotpants are the extra short ones intended to be sexy. I think that's the same in English. 😂
No european names, all intentionally jewish. The one exception and I bet by mistake is Sophia (greek) What about Nicholas/Nikolaus/Nicolás? Edward/Eduard/Eduardo? Henry/Heinrich/Enrique/Heiki? Roderick/Riurik/Rodrigo? Louis/Lodewjik/Ludwig/Luis Andrew/Andrés Frank/Franco George/Georgios/Jorge Patrik/Patricio.. and so on
We need you back
in dutch, 'oranje' is the color orange. the fruit is called 'sinaasappel'
For the slavic languages it has to be mentioned that we mostly have 2 blue colors. Light-blue and dark-blue. For example, in Ukrainian it’s блакитний (blakytnyy) and Синій (Synіі)
آدم يحي داود دانيال مكائيل حواء يوسف يعقوب مريم جبريل عيسى صافية إسحاق بن يمين موسى إسماعيل سليمان إبراهيم In Arabic
Why is the albanian word "Katër" included into the slavic group? Katër has latin roots not slavic roots.
holland and the netherlands are two compeletely diffrent things. Every country uses both words
A lot of errors. Angry in D/CH/A is based Alone and lonely are 2 different things, the translation to other languages is either one or the other, totally inconsistent. Zelfversekerd (NL/B) should be zelfverzekerd
Plumber in Dutch is loodgieter.
I know they would be okay without Texas, Texas alone could be a country
Romance languages are all most the same.
peach in spain is Melocotón
Anatolian Turkish and Gagauz Turkish are the same and you should add Crimea Tatar Turkish and Kazakh Turkish languages. Good day.
Siyah>kara
Nobody says kisteherauto in Hungarian, you could but furgon is more commonly used.
Everybody ! Stop being so sensitive about his mistakes, this is just entertainment not science.
In belorussian may is Traveń
Pozdrowienia dla braci Czechów i Słowaków za žraloka😂😂😂
I'm so disappointed in you. "Holland"? Really?
Zero snd sıfır are same
you can use kamyonet instead of furgon in turkish
In Norwegian 'hete' is the noun, meaning "hot weather". "Hett" is the adjective meaning "hot". Same with "kulde" means "coldness". Here it should be "kaldt", meaning "cold".
Moldovian is Romanian
Almost every vehicle has at least 2 words for it in every language. End of story. :D
Isn't Butcher "kreopoli" in greek? Edit: nvm both are correct
