Hello!I wanted the facet 8b 80s but after your review I do not know..I always had warm sounding loudspeakers with solid trebles like wharfedales.After a time I missed the crisp trebles and the detailed cymbals so I changed to polkaudio es20.They make the job,in my overdamped room (bed,carpet,desk etc) the trebles are opened now,the vocals highlighted and direct,so another world,my cd albums opened and become more enjoyable.So if trebles are flat or backed as You told-You do not recommend to me?best regards.

hi there, i could need some help as i'm a complete noob. i got myself a technics 1210 turntable, the preamp you review here, an ortofon m2 red needle (which is an MM system) and some edifier S880DB active speakers. of course without the amp it's way too quiet even on the loudest speaker level. but with the amp it's quite loud even on the lowest speaker level. the small "level"-knob on the amp doesn't seem to do anything, the short manual doesn't even say what it should do, it's just labeled "4"... so.. what can i do?

I think that the felt mat has been upgraded on the video turntable.

I really like the Concerto Meta to be fair. Build quality might not be on par with the R3 Meta but the measurements are not that far off really....and for a grand less.....can't go far wrong.

desktop computer speakers the EDIFIER MR4 are on for 135 (Canadian ) 97 ( US ) or the SWAN OS 10's 234 ( Canadian ) 168 ( US ) which do you think is the better set up ? also the EDIFIER 1850DB with sub ? or these the R1700BTS with T5 sub ? i can not decide please help lol thx cheers from Canada

Hello Dale, thank you for the review. Of all the reviews I saw, I liked yours the most, so thank you for your time and your help. I saw a handful of reviews of this model and the MR4, I bought both, the MR4 are for my small apartment (these will be connected to my PC and will replace an old Logitech which has a connector defect already) and the R1700BT will be gifted to a dear friend of mine which lives in a way bigger place than mine, so I hope these are good enough in that environment. She mostly would use the Bluetooth connection and I am always connected via cable to my PC. I paid 140 USD approx for the MR4 (around 2,800 MXN) and 125 USD approx for the R1700BT (around 2,500 MXN). Have you tried the MR4 already? Would love to hear your input about that model if possible. I liked the video and subbed to your channel. Greetings from México, Dale!

I’ve got same player for both of my TVs. The sound and picture quality can’t get any better on my 4K TVs. Plus Dolby Atmos… I’d recommend anyone getting A Sony 700M player. You can find new ones very reasonable. Try Best Buy returned ones for around $120 or eBay I found my one For bedroom, new for $121 included shipping. But sales tax which sucks. Get one and enjoy 4K DVDs.

Great, honest, and fair review. You communicate effectivly, clearly, and passionately. This record player is a bargain at the price! In my honest opinoin its a great price for entry level HIFI. Cannot go wrong with a Rega any Rega! They are so easy and fun to play modify, clean, and tweak with, preamp, amp, and loudspeaker combinations. My current journey is getting into all tube HIFI and I just have no idea where to go, I want to weedle out and just buy all Rega branded preamp, amp, and loudspeakers. Furthermore, I think I could probably get a more rich full sound with a Dynaco ST70, McIntosh Tube any, or Schiit audio. Cheers!!!

I really wanted to like these. -Pretty cheap construction. The entire side control panel fell out after 20 mins of use -Under powered, even for a small office -I didn't think it was possible, but they sound worse with a subwoofer -Without a sub they are flat and non descript, borderline muted. -Get an Amp and some 3 way Sonys instead of these

Auditioned both this and the Unico90. I prefered the sound of the 90 but both are great integrateds. Like you , i started with the Unico Primo and it's probably one of the best under $2000. Enjoy. Cheers

I just ordered one of these. I wanted a player that could play my entire library of discs. 4k, bluray, dvd and CD. But the surprise bonus for me was finding out by accident that it also plays Super Audio CDs, SACDs, which are hi-def CDs with 5 channel audio. This was a format that never took off here in the states in a big way but supposedly sound amazing. I'm going to order a few SACDs and see if they're all that. Maybe some Pink Floyd or Alan Parsons....

I have KEF XQ series in my HT. R900, R 300 and R100 in audio rooms. Sweet monsters these are... R3 meta and R7 meta are in my list...and the pocket is empty as of now.

I owned Elacs debut and unifi floorstanding speakers. I sold all those after got Bro3. Elacs well balanced, laid back, smooth, sounded boring compared to Bro3. Bro3 are lively, clearer, better imaging, real tone. Bros alive, Elacs too laid back, relaxed tone good for jazz, easy listening, but boring for rock, any lively music.

. How is it the Italians didn't find a way to wrap at least one side with Tuscany Leather? Oh well, looks like a pretty sweet integrated anyway. I think that's duel copper toroids I see stacked in the picture. Very nice as well. As far as drive any speaker powerful, well 150 watts is 150 watts. However, I believe that punchy-ness you refer to is more a function of output capacitance which this integrated has in abundance. My guess from the picture is 40K picofarads per side. That's nice. Outstanding choice of a product for show-n-tell. Very interesting and although expensive, there certainly seems to be considerable value here. Well done, it wasn't another ChiComm $79 class D. I've just already ordered one today (multiregion modded which is even better) The only problem with this player from what I've seen and read is the picture freezing in some 4K discs after a while. But there is a trick to avoid that here on YT. I can't tell the title of the video but you can find it and most commenters seem very happy about that. Although I must say is unnaceptable for a company like Sony not included a darn display in the front. That's ridiculous because they are cheap... unless no display means faster loading, which I seriously doubt. Thanks for the review.

What about if you turn down the treble in the eq adjustment knob on the side of the speakers. Will that get rid of the fatiguing high's?
