No worries brother about being nervous when heading to work....i am the same way , our trade is dangerous and having already some type of nervous makes me more conscious of my surrounding and my next move when you work with steel.... a lot of accidents happens when you incompliance...keep up the good work brother
Wow I wish I knew how much I was worth me two others out do two raising gangs and they have easy five more people . We do it all and still be so far ahead wait in trucks . Let alone guy seen me said hot riveted his first job yet never seen no crazy shit like that I Said what what I do still.not sure
Awesome videos man I’m new to iron working so I’m learning from your vids I’m supposed to start next month at a job and I was wondering does it matter which way the bolts are facing when they go in ? I know you only put about 2-3 bolts in and does it matter where the bolts go does it have to be the top and bottom ? Thanks to anyone who can answer my questions!
I appreciate the support homie! Bolts stab the piece. So nut and washer are always on the flag plate. As a connector you wanna do top and bottom or just spread them out so they’re not so shaky when anyone walks on them and it’s a bit easier come time to bolt up
@@michaelturner5919California in general is slow rn. Most locals are doing rods to get by. A lot of 433 and 377 guys are booming out to AZ. Shit I’m probably just gonna go 416.
how do you get a non union iron worker job? all i see is you have to go to an apprenticeship? also im a huge fan of the channel and thenks for the motivation!!
I’d honestly google ironworking companies and call around bro. Let em know any experience you got and show up and show out🤙🏽 the apprenticeship is union and that’s a process. When I was non union I kinda just applied and was hired haha
As a UK steel erector i laugh at this video coz we moan and enjoy the same shit as you guys. I wouldnt get away with lifting multiple beams (chandelier) in London them days are long banned! Also we do most work 90% from MEWPs nowadays also shaking the steel out with them hooks is a big no fucking way over here infact we have moved to 100% lifting with bolted attachment lifting eyes on beams so a single wrap with a wire is "get ye tools and get off my site" rules! Anyway apart from that its the same shit over here same tools ect one last thing can you explain this union rules thing because we have a union but they have no say in what we do.

Love the added narration. Very intuitive and informative for those who don't know.
My biggest fear ( besides falling ) would be my tools and bolts falling down . Great video

Does this profession require a lot of math calculations? I’m an electrician apprentice right now but it’s lame and I want something cooler
It can yeah, doing layout or shooting and transferring measurements. And hell yeah ironwork is fun, it’s badass
