I remember waiting 9 hours for Hagrid's on opening day. It was an amazing experience. I also still have the photo of my churro from Velocicoasters opening day a couple years later.

Most fascinating icon are the ones in hollywood studios,is really metaphoric how much icons they had used thru all the years,considering how much the park had to re-invent itself from their original theme to the newer adition we are seeing.

I'll be honest, we lost a icon with Splash Mountain, Chickapin Hill was amazing as both something pretty to look at as an individual nature piece, while at the same time being super imposing with how tall it is and the concrete surrounding it, and it makes the mountain bigger than it is. It's ashame that it's replacement went with a stupid water tower than makes the mountain look smaller and doesn't have a compelling draw like Chickapin Hill

I just know this will be a very iconic video. Disneyland paris like always is very underrated cus MY GOD i love that castle and their walkthru.

I always loved how Disney wanted MGM's Grauman's Theater to be the park icon...only for the Earful Tower to become a favorite and so that was the Icon for years.

Loved this, thank you for posting I first went to Universal in 1992 and I was gutted that it was closed (as Jaws was my favourite film) and again in 1993 before finally being able to ride in 1994. Years later I finally got to ride Jaws in the dark at HHN, I believe it was September 2011

Great history, brought back some nice memories

I was one of the Egyptian dancers in that unit. The singer is the late Jack Sheldon who sang "Conjunction Junction" and "I'm just a BIll" in Schoolhouse Rock. It was one of the more fun units and parades in my 8.5 year stint at DL. This year will mark my 40th anniversary of my first parade. Yeah...I'm getting old. But still in dance class 2x a week!
