I don’t know much about silver dollar city, but it seems like this park has a deep love and respect for their heritage! Always lovely to see modern renditions that still capture the essence and charm of the original rides 😊
I never rode the original Fire in the Hole, but I did however ride Blazing Fury at Dollywood. There really is nothing like those old school coasters that mix small thrills with themed elements. I remember walking away feeling a new sense of joy and discovery from that ride that I hope the new Fire in the Hole will do for many generations to come.
I was surprised at how similar they were! The story follows the same cadence, just with a slightly different storyline. I hope you get a chance to experience the new one. Or who knows-maybe life will surprise you with a trip to SDC before the year ends!
I loved the original Fire and the Hole… I might’ve rode 8 times in a toe during my last visit 😅 I’m very excited to see the legacy of this ride preserved and updated, and I like how it’s going to anchor the fire district. I would definitely support other parks preserving and/or resurrecting their classic attractions like this.
I have to imagine Dollywood will do something similar with Blazing Fury in the near future. I have a long-standing attachment to that coaster (having ridden it for gosh nearly 40 years?) I dread that announcement when they close it but imagine what they could do with another dark coaster there. I’d hope they’d keep a similar theming as it sounds SDC is doing with FITH. For sure! And it's refreshing to see a park double down on its original attractions.
Yes this is my favorite coaster
I hope you love the new version just as much!
I love this! Sad to see the original leaving but what a legacy to leave!
Absolutely! It'll be weird riding this one without the damp old building smell 😅

Eight times?! You're an absolute legend.
Phantom Theater would be a prime candidate for this treatment. 👀
@@StorybookAmusement AGREED! 👻

We'll see what Dollywood has in store! I'd love to see a refreshed Blazing Fury.
Thanks for tuning in 😊
