How can I tell if they are 1972-1983 records? I really appreciate your knowledge. How about the purple capitol 45s? Sound wise? Thank you!!!!

Can you tell me something about how to tell if they are from 82~83?

Sometimes it is hard to decide what to spend your money on because there is so much worth getting. That was a good price for your Japanese White album. I still don’t have that one. It is so nice to hear from another diehard fan and I appreciate your tuning in. I would like to know where you are from if that is alright with you and to know what you most often gravitate to in terms of collecting. I would also appreciate how at age 6 you became a Beatles nut.

We seem to be about near the same age as I am. I too have been all over the place with collecting. That’s what makes it so great to see what other people decided to focus on. Everybody’s’ interest and love is different and so all collections are unique. You are right, no way you can ever have it all but it is fun deciding on what you will get. I am going cd to get that Denny Lane cd since you recommended it. He had been at the Beatles conventions many times. Very talented. Thank you! SHM is supposedly a higher quality that uses a different polycarbonate. This should make the sound on these cds better. Some people disagree about this and don’t think the cost of these is worth it. I am in the camp that thinks they are at least a bit better. I appreciate your involvement in the channel.

Oh thank you for clarifying who you are. I am looking forward to your channel and getting to know you a little better. It isn’t exactly easy and there is so much conpetition for everybody’s’ time. Anything that I can do just let me know. I do go in some of Frank’s’ programs when I don’t fall asleep before. @Imaginenumber9 yes the white ahdn is only available in the uk as part of album day, I have my white vinyl of the white album issued in early 80s and ordered the blue meet the beatles from target. Oh seeing your 3 inch records inspired me to order the record player off beatles site ➕️ all my loving 3 inch being released on black Friday record store day. I love the yellow case that comes with record player.

Actually no on that. I am designating who I want to have what with a few exceptions that I want to stay in the family. I don’t plan to sell at all and my family knows that. I want real fans to get what I have who I think will want and care for my stuff for the rest of their lives so it will be passed on like that. I think about this a lot given my age and that is what I have decided. I could stop buying now but I decided that I don’t want to. It’s only money.

It wasn’t easy Patricia , I didn’t give everything away , mostly wall art that didn’t fit the motif of the new home , still have all the bootlegs records and C D s and some of my favorite books , I don’t know exactly when you started but I did in H S and I’m 65 . I can’t tell you how much was birthday and Xmas gifts , have all my Tee s too , nice hearing from you , hope we can be friends in the future 😄

I doubt if I will complete the flag series. If a record is not excellent or above I can’t buy it. Actually, I don’t like excellent either. I can go with an outer sleeve being less but not the vinyl. I am envious of your collection! Do you like them? Are they a grail for you? I have seen the record player twice since RSD being at the normal 199 price at the Beatles store. I decided not to get it because I thought what do I do with it if it breaks? I don’t buy a lot of new items except for new vinyl and cds now. I prefer to put my money in old stuff. I really thank you for your comments and for watching. Without you I would be talking to myself.

@@Imaginenumber9 It's great you are collecting original 60s-80s pressings, so interesting. I'm from New Zealand so my collecting is Australiasian local or UK & Japan. American titles not readily available. New Zealand followed UK release pattern but also pressed its own Beatles VI, Magical Mystery & Hey Jude. Love collecting the new release box set since Apple started doing them and recently preordered Capitol Mono set and Meet The Beatles colour variation. Also looking forward to Black Friday Record Store Day Beatles releases (1 × 3" & 1 x 7")

Is that one on the original black and colored dot label? How do you know the difference if you come upon it? I am very interested in knowing all details about AHDN pressings. Thank you for your wisdom

@@Imaginenumber9 Yes it was one of the black and colored dot labels. I heard it some 40 years ago and assumed this was the regular mono mix, however when I finally got my own copy of the mono album, years later, it featured the regular fadeout. This version is apparently unique among the contracted pressings.

Don’t make me jealous about the prices you paid for your records! I like the Stones too, more of the early stuff. But Hackney Diamonds is really good too. You know how it is, you were either on the Beatles side or the Stones side back then. I am happy that you found this video fairly interesting and hope that you come back again. If there are any really good you tube channels that focus on the Stones I would appreciate your letting me know.

Thanks,Pat!!That's why I would like to se3 the Capiphone project happen.Too many loose ends to tie up,yet,(in my opinion)Always thought the catalog was incomplete,still do.The reason for the Capiphone project is to finally tie up those loose ends and complete the catalog offering to the fans,with Giles and the Abbey Road crew,the Apple crew(including Paul,Ringo,Yoko and Olivia)and finally UME for its issue on, at least, CD,next year.Obviously this year is out,because of the mono American reissue project.The new remasters are to reveal more audio information on those original Capitol tapes,so that's exciting.The originals we fans have will much improved upon and playable without having to use a mono stylus for the best reproduction!That's a plus right there,y'know,Pat?!?I still value my mint originals,though,and won't ever replace them(or play them,either.I dont play my collection copies.The VJ/Capitols/Apples or the Parli or Japanese Odeon originals either.Im used to the 12 and 11 song programs I put together for the Capiphone project anyway,and that's the only way I can listen to our Fab Four now.More exciting for me,with the rare mixes I sprinkled into each album program.A lot more enjoyable.

I have a friend in Toronto who after retirement(big record guy, did a lot of Beatle trading with him,for Canadian Beatle records since the 80's)became the biggest Beatle authority in Canada(Piers Hemmingsen,Capitol 6000 website and Canadian Beatle book author).He bought a Beatles film up there,the seller threw in an audio reel of the Maple Leaf Gardens '65 concert,soundboard!(no less), in record release quality.Flew to Lndon and talked to Giles at Abbey Road about their possible acquisition of the tape and release on vinyl.They turned the idea down.I plan on calling him to connect me with Giles on the Capiphone project and maybe they will go with this idea.Everything will be compiled on CD or wav files for them to just tweak and then issue.If they decide to greenlight it.We'll see.

When you are on the opposite side of the pond these albums are just as legitimate to us as the parlophone pressing is to you. They might not be what the Beatles thought the USA should have but that is all we did have. I understand your point as a purist point of view but in the 1960s it wasn’t that way. I am sorry that you found the video objectionable.

Maybe my AHDN quest is a bit overboard. But, when you collect you do have to have a focus based on your interest that will direct you. I have returned to vinyl more so say in the last 5 years and before that it was another passion. It is very interesting to me that you focused on solo first. That usually comes with a later generation who didn’t really experience the Beatles firsthand. I do bid on eBay from Perry Cox. His grades the records exactly so there s no question about what you are going to get. Pricey yes but all Beatles stuff is expensive. Sometimes I think about not collecting anymore given my age but my heart always wins out so I gave up on that idea. You know, I appreciate your conversation very much.

I just made a quick check of my JL inventory and here is a slice of what I found: 11 copies of Double Fantasy (and I still don't have all the varieties), nine copies of the Imagine album and 16 copies of the single Happy Xmas (War is Over). It's what we do with our obsession. Different strokes for different folks.

I had to go back to my own collection and take stock of what I have in AHDN variants; I concentrate more on cover/country differences. So far : three U.S. mono first issues, one U.K., and one Canadian mono first issue, and one BC-13, Mofi box, and Mono Box each ..

You have to be among the youngest if not the youngest of being a first generation person. I appreciate your little story.
