Why Can't Traders Solve Their Emotional Challenges?
Переглядів 9 тис.3 роки тому
The emotional patterns that interfere with good trading can only be accessed and changed in altered cognitive, emotional, and physical states. Evidence-based psychological techniques are tools for reprocessing experience and creating new, constructive patterns of thought and behavior. Many "coaching" and self-help techniques fail because they cannot access our emotionally-encoded patterns.

GOLD 🤙😎🤙
Many thanks; we can develop positive habits of self talk that keep our focus constructive...a great application of cognitive methods in therapy--
Thanks; the biofeedback devices, such as Muse and HeartMath, come with apps that include exercises and ways of keeping track of your progress. Very user friendly--
This is a POWERFUL one 🤙😎🤙
I’ve been at it 3.5 yrs and this is the first time I’ve heard someone mention actually measuring biofeedback like this. Smart…. curious to know if in 4years you’ve come across any better products/tools to measure. Also what exercises or activities you’ve seen best work to lower stress while increasing focus….i have a few guesses but curious on your take 🤙😎🤙
your video creates another “need” because now, I “need” another thing to do…
so, ok, it is because we do not have enough focus…ok, it is just your “opinion”?what your brain thinks?.. could it be what we eat?..could it be how the weather is like that day which interacts with focus?..could focus be related to D vitamin levels?…people living in this planet 400 years ago were more distracted because they did not have access to Muse bands?..Really?..

Found myself in a life situation where it's no longer a matter of "motivation" but absolute must where the only way out is following through with my goals. It does work, can confirm. Day after day after day after day. Just show up, persist, and do the work.

Mr Brett You are wonderful, My dream is can talk with You someday...
Selfawareness is so important. Usually the idea sold for traders is to "not feel, avoid feeleings", but actually is more effective to listen your feelings and use them as weapons to improve your results

trauma was the primary factor in creating change in my trading

Really great Dr. Steenbarger, thank you for all your sharing!
Wow thank you that was kinda mind opening 🙏🏻❤😊
My issue has been my "work" to pay the bills has changed and now I don't have the same timeframe to trade that I once did. I'm a year away from being eligible to retire and hoping that my fire will return once that burden has been lifted. Thanks for all your videos.
Hi, im currently struggling with knowing what mistakes to fix, because when i follow rules im not making money or having great results, when i dont follow rules and gamble my trades i have mixed results. So now i cant tell whether my mistakes are strutegical or psychological or something else, thats why if i try to change my behaviour im not sure if its the right thing or the wrong
Fear and greed holding a trade in profit ... don't ruin it with expectations .... be like a bird in trackless flight , like free falling without a parachute but never reaching the ground, from wonder to wonder with no expectation or grasping
