It sounds great to have a Trading partner, but I find it really difficult to find other people who are really Traders willing to share information and not just someone traying to sell you a course or something. Internet is full of self-proclamed "gurus", but few of them are really consitency profitable traders. Any recommendations for Traders out of US? Thanks dr. I bounce ideas off a stuffed cat named Elon Meowsk (basically the equivalent of talking out loud to myself, though Mr. Meowsk is always straight forward with me). Realizing that's a bit kooky I've started following traders I respect on social media, occasionally engaging in banter.
As everyone knows trading is boring and so it must be when not overtrading. However, I wish could find an EXPERIENCED trading partner for short term trading, but that is VERY DIFFICULT.
Thats the thing, you dont need someone who is experienced, you need someone who is equally involved in the process as you are. Because throughout the process you’re going to have good and bad days. And on these days you want someone to relate with. Whether they give you any technical analaysis or not. There perspective on the same week is enough for you to understand your profits or losses.
Hi Brett, have another question, if you don't have nobody to trade with, it is bad? I am working out in the gym too alone, and I follow a program of apps I took, I kinda prefer to be alone, I used to get influenced by experienced traders...
I think part of it is just having a "water-cooler" type peer. No matter what you do it's healthy (psychologically) to have someone who does the same thing to communicate with, even if it's just a couple times a week, saying "Oh, I missed a move in XYZ that I should've been in" or "XYZ has earnings next Thursday, I expect its volatility to create opportunity" or "man, if I had a dollar for every bag-holder in GME"...My significant other is studying to be a forensic psychologist, so she doesn't care about the specifics of my trading. I think she hears me when I bitch about a stock I'm in not going anywhere but she's not really listening and can't offer solutions/ideas. Having a "trading partner" just gives you a symbiotic outlet. Everybody needs to be listened to. Humans are social mammals:)
Trading with a partner is like competing in a golf tournament with a friend that hits the ball when you take a break here and there .. it DOES NOT WORK ... ☺️☺️
My husband is my trading partner, we encourage each other and straight forward to each other
