Chris...Hope you are well....after posting the video 2 years ago? I got my 1st XJ6 25 years ago when I was your age! I have two now (1983 and 1985 XJ6VP). JB WELD is great stuff, but I would suggest using POR15 rust paint which puts a ceramic seal over metal or rust. After curing, I use a fiberglass cloth over my holes painting it with another coat of POR15 which dries rock hard. My last step is putting one or two coats of fiberglass resin. Mine is as I left it 25 yesrs ago! Key is to use the POR to stop the rust! This is not a criticism, but another method! Take care! Great you are a young guy into older Jags!

Chris, Appreciate you going to the trouble to describe this. Alternatively, under the dash near the firewall is a column u-joint. The upper bolt on that joint can be disconnected and the entire column rotated to center the steering wheel, without moving the rack pinion. Cheers,

How did you get your dip stick to measure properly after swapping yhe valve covers? I bought a 13th gen dip stick since i sued the 13th gen valve covers but its too long. I also tried using the original dip stick but its too short i think to meausrr the oil level properly.

Bro u got to get a AGM BATTERY for the raptor. A REGULAR battery limits your power capabilities. Not to mention if u OFF ROAD like i do your gonna lose water and dry your battery out leaving u stranded. Good video 💯

Pretty neat, i want to do a sunroof delete on mine and i wasn’t sure how it fill the hole. Seeing this I assume The lid can basically be fit back in place, maybe welded on and sealed up and be good to go!

hey question for you. I have a leak on rear of the right side which I'm thinking is valve cover, it's leaking all the way down. one shop told me it was cylinder head gasket leaking oil but I just can't buy that. I can feel around on the back of it and feel oil which seems like it's up top by the valve cover. I replaced a vacuum pump on my old ecoboost which was in this same location, not sure if the 5.0 has one there as well. Anyway, was yours leaking in the same area?

Honestly same thing just happened to me same side and bolt snapped right off now I need new valve covers 😑

Have a 2013 f150 3.5 ecoboost. Valve cover keeps burning on passenger side. What is causing this? Cover looks fine from inside so it can’t be the valves.. I’m just confused. I replaced the burnt valve cover with a brand new one and same burn. Same spot. Weird. The water coolant line that runs beside it gets really hot but I don’t think it’s causing this burn.. are coolant lines supposed to get hot to touch? Thank you

Hey man installing dame radio. For some reason the position of my radio is off. It isn't flush. Seems like the stock radio that stayed in behind the screen isn't letting it sit flush. Did you have the same issue?

The locking ring holding the black passenger end of the rack unthreads counter clockways. Then the Black painted section can be removed by sliding off the main rack along with the bypass line from the tube house to access those seals. The rack itself can now be removed to access the rack seal. Then stand the whole housing on the end where the black housing was removed from and tap it lightly up and down on something solid to remove the internal housing tube with more rack seals. The unit is now totally dismantled and can be fully resealed now. Where the rack teeth are the grease is supposed to be there. Enjoy.
