Plans and Patterns to Build a Verge Escapement
Plans and Patterns to build this escapement are at DctDrawings.com This is a wood project, done mostly with a scroll saw and a drill press. It is about 21 inches high and 18 inches wide. It attaches to the wall with 2 screws 16 inches apart. The plans will be emailed to you immediately after purchase in a Zip file. They consist of 22 pages of 8 1/2 x 11 with instructions, material list, material suppliers, and patterns. The patterns are to be cut out and pasted on the wood with spray adhesive. Then to be cut out with the scroll saw and then drilled with the drill press to make an interesting wall decoration. I hope you take the time to build one of these escapements. I've watched many escapement videos. I like this the best so far. I've noticed all the escapement wheels have even number of cogs. Would they work with an odd number?

I had the same question. How did you go, did you give it a try on A4? I guess you just have to watch out it doesn’t scale it to fit automatically.

Hi, these clock designs are amazing! Would love to buy but in Europe we use A4 paper, which is slightly smaller than the US size you make the drawings for. Is there any way to adapt? Thanks!
It is possible to reduce the size of the escapement by using the Google Print program and changing the scale. If you still need help email me at sales@dctdrawings.com
I've printed it on A3 paper with 100% scale, that works, maybe you can use an online printshop ?
David, I just completed the Galileo’s escapement from the plans I bought from you recently. It works great! Thanks so much. Your plans are excellent. I used a candle to lubricate the gears because the graphite falls off to easily. That was a fun project and worth every penny for the plans.
