Optometry School: Is Optometry School the right choice?
Does it really take 3 weeks to cure ?? Should we wear glasses , asking because people are afraid seeing someone with episleritis.
Very nice work. Inspiring.
I'm sure this channel will gain more and more fans in the future!
Wait now...I just went to see what other woodworking videos you have...it's mostly about optometrist stuff...such a tease...lol. With wood carving skills like this...there's no way you haven't done other projects. Do you have other woodworking videos?
Yep! Changing up my content. I have done a couple others, yes. However, I haven’t filmed them.
@RogueRegimen you guys are adorable! Well done on the carving! It would also make an interesting tabletop if you put a sheet of tempered glass on it. You might find a flat sanding wheel, an oscillating tool with detail sanding paddles (it's a mini triangular shape) or the black and decker mouse sander beneficial. You can get really good diamond bits for your dremel.
Thanks for the comment! Helpful stuff
Such a cool project! I’ve never seen anyone create something like this without a CNC. Well done!!!
Awesome video Doctor!!!!!
Awesome office and staff!
Great video! I’m looking forward to the next one!
Will Ibuprofen help?
It may help
A great video. I hope I can work myself out of slight myopia. About -0.75 Diopters.
Can you practise Optometry after 2 years Diploma?
It requires 4 years of optometry school
How many years do you need to study to practise Optometry?
4 years college 4 years optometry school and optional residency
What about lyposomal glutathione, N-acetylcysteine, and either lyposomal or high-dose IV Vitamin C to provide a direct, systemic, antioxidant effect in the cells?
Hi Nice informative video I have a Qs if someone did 6 years Bachelor in Medicine can he apply for optometry course as international student Plz need ur guidance on this & what are the affordable & easy to get in universities in USA Thanks
Can sarcoidosis or Marfan syndrome cause this as well?
Episcleritis is inflammatory in nature so sarcoidosis may cause this. Marfan Syndrome does not have an inflammatory cause so it is unlikely to happen in Marfan Syndrome.
@@rogueregimen thanks for The reply I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis about 5 years ago and recently with Marfan syndrome. While getting an MRI of my abdominal area to check for any aortic aneurysms, multiple splenic lesions where discovered. Going to get a pet scan but hoping it’s nothing or sounds weird but my sarcoidosis acting up, because the C word isn’t fun. I don’t know if lymphoma attacks the eyes like sarcoidosis
@@kchilz32 How are you doing now. Did you get better
@@angierandomstuff I’m doing good it’s was the sarcoidosis acting up. I also have a mild dilated aortic root. They just keep monitoring but other than that I feel ok God is Good. He got me thru covid when I was on A ventilator in a coma for two months with no hope he can get me thru anything. I’m 42 yo and people are shocked that I look like nothing happened. Hope all is well.
@@angierandomstuff as for the eye issue so far so good. It calmed down
Don't worry your going to be doing this in a few months Taku🎉❤
do you recommend opt school - stuck between med vs opt school.
I’m biased because I am an optometrist so I’d say opto school. I like the work/life balance and my job usually isn’t life or death types of decisions to make. Med school there are more doors to other specialties/surgery but I know there’s a chance you’ll have less of a work/life balance. I’d say go with what feels good for you.
@@rogueregimen thank you so much for the response :) is there any way I could send you a dm or private message. but if you have the time, what are your thoughts on the return of interest after optometry school? I hear a lot of times, student debt isn't worth the overall salary of an opt. Would you say the overall pay is high for an optometrist-- hear there's kind of a glass ceiling on the occupation. Thank you for all of the insight!
Your compensation can vary widely as well as the amount of debt you would have after optometry school. I still think it’s generally worth it if you are good with your finances such as paying down debt as quickly as you can and saving money. There’s not a definite cap with how much you can make. Most seasoned optometrists have an opportunity to have a higher commission based salary structure, allowing the individual to make a lot more if they push sales. For me and for most, I still make a comfortable living. You just have to be smart with how you treat your money.
Great job, great accomplishment! What city do you work at? How much money do you make being a first time eye doctor? Do you get paid hourly or salary?
Thanks for this video! Can episcleritis cause mild pain?
It is possible! It may feel irritated, dry, or sore.
Is Durezol better than Inveltys?
I’ve been going through this currently. After going through 3 doctors, 4th doctor concluded it le lower episcleritis and prescribed steroid eye drops and it seemed to work. However couple weeks it reoccurred and now my eyes are more red with two small black patches at lower bottom. Recently went to different doctor who advised to stop using steroid eye drops as it could result in loss of vision soon and have concluded that it’s conjunctival Nevus. I’m really frustrated as it’s very inconvenient as I’ve to be in from of computer whole day. Any guidance appreciated.
Hey how are you now?
Did you do a residency?
I did not
Great getting caught with how life is going. I started watching your videos about 4years ago and now in my 3rd rotation before graduating in May. Been a cool journey. Thanks for your experience along the way. Helped out a lot 👍🏻
You look and sound like the twins from the Social Network. 😄
Thank you for all of the videos you have put out there! Some of you videos first exposed me to AZCOPT, and now I am a first year here!
Happy to know you ended up at AZCOPT! Best of luck to you!
Really cool to see this! I remember watching your older videos about 4 years ago when I was thinking about applying to optometry school, now I'm finishing up my first semester of optometry school!
Good to hear! Thanks for sharing. Good luck with school!
I'm in the same boat!
Thanks for tips!
Of course!
Hey, glad to see you again on this channel. So do you work at your own practice part time and also work as an associate somewhere else part time?
I work within the same practice at multiple locations. Thanks for the question!

How I get selected in the Campus Placement?
Talk to a school counselor about how to get into optometry school
This is what I need...... Thank you so much
I have had this at least once a month for the last 9 years and have been diagnosed with episcleritis. 5 doctors, 9 years, blood work etc. and nobody has been able to help me figure this out. It's terribly frustrating and painful. I have cut out gluten, dairy, beer, anything that seems to trigger it to no avail. I give up.
Look into gut dysbiosis via stool test. It isn’t offered by conventional doctors. Also look into VOC and indoor home particle pollution. Also toxiccology urine test to look for toxic compounds in your body
I had suffered from Episcleritis for 10 years at least 2-4 times a year. Doc would prescribe Lotemax and it would clear up only to return. Recently I have discovered the health benefits of lowering inflammation of all types in the body through diet. I have followed a healthy Ketogenic diet/intermittent fasting and the results have been a reversal of Type 2 diabetes and many inflammatory conditions such as joint pain and have not had another flare-up of Episcleritis. Too many benefits to go into here but an excellent resource is Dr Sten Eckberg (UA-cam) Hope you can find a solution.
For long term treatment of ocular rosacea, is it normal to be on low dose steroid eye drops indefinitely? I'm concerned about skin thinning and the chronic problems that can come with it.
I want to recommend you to dr ebhariagbe on UA-cam, he cured me from herpes virus ..
D GREETINGS! TO YALL. The Doctors Said Herpes Virus do not have a medical cure because the virus is capable of hiding within the human cells, it remains protected from your immune system. Herpes is not a special virus; your immune system has the power to fight it back but because it is able to lay dormant in protected cells, your immune system is unable to remove it from your body. But with strong reactive herbal medication is capable of getting rid of the virus gradually and totally from your body within just 14days without damaging any of your cells. Natural herbs kills the bad cells carrying the herpes virus totally! within just 14 days. I am not a medical doctor but i get cured from a herbal doctor who name is Dr abumere with his natural herbal medicine within just 14 days and his medicine is% 100 safe and it has no side effects. A lot of people have been cured of herpes with his herbal medicine.for more info contact Dr abumere via doctorabumrer6@gmail.com or WhatsApp him on +2349021975055
I got cured from herpes virus using Dr.Osade herbal med you can contact him at his UA-cam channel
