I found your channel this past year.. I worked for an OD which is the reason I ended up going back to school for optometry... And finding your channel has helped with insight on schooling 🙌🏻
Hi Nice informative video I have a Qs if someone did 6 years Bachelor in Medicine can he apply for optometry course as international student Plz need ur guidance on this & what are the affordable & easy to get in universities in USA Thanks
Jenna Dabish it definitely varies from year to year. Every year is challenging, but in different ways. It may also depend on the program you’re in, so I’ll use my experience at PCO as an example. In first year you have a lot of material so you are getting used to balancing a schedule and a ton of didactic work. In second year, it’s all about clinical skills and learning in lab before you see patients. Third year is all about being in clinic, which holds it’s own challenges, plus studying for boards. Fourth year is externships and looking for jobs. The best advice I received was that it’s tough, but doable. And I’ve found that to be true 100% of the way. Best of luck!
Hey Tyler, could you possibly tell me which physics series you took during your undergrad years? was it the calculus or Algebraic based physics? Thanks for the time.
Thank you for the response Tyler. Means a lot, seeing how your always busy with the new opportunities and channel. You honestly made it easier for me to choose which physics sequence to take.

My physics class in undergradwas not specified as either calculus or algebra but I remember it was pretty straightforward algebra for the most part.

Good work ty ty
do you need good eyesight for optometry?
Nope, you can adjust your equipment to your needs! I know a lot of people with large prescriptions that are optometrists!
What is a safe GPA for getting in? Is a 3.45 a solid Gpa or a little low?
I would say it's just around average. Here is a list of schools: www.oatbooks.com/oat-scores-for-optometry-schools
