Thanks! I have a full driving licence and a CBT certificate for motorcycles so I think I am quite unbiased
cycling in london is like a really shit game of mario kart...
Yeah
Well it's a kip anyway so...
Get loads of this when I am out cycling. Also peeps just don’t look properly anymore before crossing.
I feel like especially in London people are in a mad rush
Why did you cross to the right lane and not stay in the left? If you are talking about the white Mini that is the off side. That's actually impressively awful riding...
… Try to actually learn the rules before writing unfair comments. Embarrassing Rule 186 When taking an exit to the right or going full circle, unless signs or markings indicate otherwise signal right and approach in the right-hand lane keep to the right on the roundabout until you need to change lanes to exit the roundabout
You are driving in the wrong side of the road !!! 👀💁♂️
This is the UK
@@QiuEnnan You have to be joking! It’s written London in the video title, not UK!
@@mkshaverma Wait I actually can’t tell if this is a joke - London is the capital of the UK

Oh… OK
😢 i hate such dump ppl
Reported? Penalty?
No, the reg wasn't clear enough unfortunately so I didn't report it
The junction at 0:23 only adds to the confusion around the highway code rules. Give way to cyclists going straight at a junction, yet there are give way markings for the cyclists that a driver wont know about but then the pedestrians have priority One big mess when situations like that happen
I agree; there shouldn't be broken white lines on the cycle track - I assume they were put there before The Highway Code changed
First pin
hehe ok
Oops 1:21 I accidentally added the same video twice sorry
It was amber when the bus crossed the line and a bus can't brake hard because of passengers stood up in the aisle.
@@marcussmith6523 Not the second line. The Highway Code says you should be ready to stop at traffic lights and that means not driving so fast you can’t.
@@QiuEnnanThe second stop line is the front of the bicycle box which is ahead of the vehicle stop line. Amber was ok, a bus cant do quick stops. Good to see Cyclists stopping at red.
@@marcussmith6523 That's not true - Rule 178 of The Highway Code says that if your vehicle has proceeded over the first white line at the time that the signal goes red, you should stop as soon as possible and *MUST* *stop* *at* *the* *second* *white* *line.* www.gov.uk/guidance/the-highway-code/using-the-road-159-to-203
@@QiuEnnan A bit confused, if you are over the first line and it goes red you must stop at the second? You would have to be doing about 2ks to be able to stop in that distance, 10 feet or so! My problem is with the light sequence. The yellow is very brief and for the cross traffic there appears no delay for theirs going green immediately when red comes on. In a previous reply you say "Not the second line" and then you highlight in bold "MUST stop at the second white line." A contradiction and isn't the second line the far end of the bike box? But then I am descended from you rejects that were sent to the sunny climes.
@@hayloft3834 Yeah. The idea is you would have already been braking and you’d cross the first line on the amber light.
Yes it's bad but plenty of car drivers go through red lights too
Yeah I have tons of videos of that too - it seems that traffic lights are considered advisory in London

If police went around that means it's not blocking 😅
Block means 'to make the movement or flow in (a passage, pipe, road, etc.) difficult or impossible'. The driver made it hard for the police to get past.
Hi, Qiu Ennan. Would it be possible to feature this video "Road rage and cow-coloured cat", and potentially some of your others as well, in the upcoming compilation on our social networks? Thanks in advance!
Yes of course! Thanks
@@QiuEnnan Thank you so much!
Some people think that rule h2 also applies to roundabouts but it doesn’t, rule H2 does not apply to roundabouts, road junctions and roundabouts have their own separate sections in the Highway Code, rule 170 - 183 covers road junctions and rule 184 - 190 covers roundabouts, rule 187 states “In all cases watch out for and give plenty of room to pedestrians who may be crossing the approach and exit roads”.
@@WayneTulip-zm9gw Roundabouts are junctions - they are a location where two roads meet
Yes you’re right but in the Highway Code road junctions and roundabouts come under separate sections, not the same section.
@@WayneTulip-zm9gw Rule H2 is not part of the section on junctions
Yes it is, if you look through the Highway Code, look at 3. Road junctions (170 - 183), 170, 2nd bullet point, give way to pedestrians crossing or waiting to cross a road into which or from which you are turning, if they have started to cross they have priority, so give way (see Rule H2). Rule H2 is mentioned here.
@@WayneTulip-zm9gw The Highway Code doesn’t say the section on junctions doesn’t apply at roundabouts - the rules for roundabouts are on top of the rules at normal junctions
The disrepair on the roads today is dire, potholes everywhere road markings just about vanished im not surprised people get in the wrong lanes .
影住駕
Why can we see cyclists on the road with a speed of 70 kilometers per hour?
Why not? There are no signs prohibiting cycles. The Transport Department did not put them up because there are no other direct routes.
0:08 that black car should not have done that. He is (1) breaking the law blowing a red light, and (2) overtaking a stopped vehicle (cyclist/you) in front of Him on a red signal.
Very good video and I 100% agree with you too. If you are from behind you can see clearly if a vehicle is signalling to turn, so naturally from behind I would yield. The issue is when a driver overtake from behind then turns on you which is known as the famous left-hook or right-hook.
So much a yellow box junction. In Leicester the council announced they are installing two enforcement cameras to capture those blocking yellow box junctions. Im complete support of it.
Not sure about the UK but here in Oz illegal to enter a junction if it is not clear on the other side, no paint needed.
Wow, that was shocking and dreadful dangerous driving. No indication either.
Golly people walking all over the place.
Strange I wonder what led to that. Maybe the van was road raging the blue car waiting behind the cyclist. I have had a few times where drivers behind my car have given horn abuse while waiting behind a cyclist. To many driver dont have any patience. I think driving tests should include patience tests really.
Good compilation video, but you have to be so careful on the roads of the UK cycling.
That driver was insane. Hope they get pulled by the police!
0:08 gosh how close!?? 0:41 Classic Deliveroo Cyclist really. 0:54 so the van knows they need to turn left but proceed to cut across the bus lane anyway.
Hi Qiu! Can i use it please? With credit, thanks. Have a good day.

Not sure there were any issues here? Just a biased cyclist. One could say there was no need for the bike to squeeze down the inside of the queuing traffic, to then just hold up all of the cars behind him. Selfish riding. Send the video to Asley Neal & get his professional opinion.
Why should I wait in queueing motor traffic which I don’t contribute to at all? Nothing in The Highway Code says I can’t do that. On the other hand that overtaking was inappropriate.
Because it is called roadcraft and exercising a bit of give and take on the road. Rather than politely remain behind the car that was clearly indicating left, you undertook it & no doubt then held it up when the traffic started moving. You gained nothing by this, yet held up another road user, which no doubt you had no thought or concern for. You are correct bikes contribute nothing. They pay nothing towards the upkeep of the roads, the cleaning or repair of them, the maintenance and electricity costs of traffic lights, or a single penny to any cycle lane. At least you are not like Adrian Chapmanlaw. ua-cam.com/video/yGtgcCAIGFM/v-deo.html&lc=UgyGIeSV4sUVAksU6sR4AaABAg.A3IcT8pRkBZA3NeoAoZRjV&ab_channel=AshleyNeal-JustCycling
@@wibbley1 Wrong - I didn’t delay the driver indicating to turn left. Besides, it was clear they were not going to cut me up. The Highway Code says to not overtake where you would force another road user to slow down - they forced me to.
@@QiuEnnan Clearly indicating left. The video cuts too early, so we cannot see if the blue car you undertook as well, overtakes you before the lights. This is called give & take on the road. You stopped behind the white car & could have remained there, so when the lights changed both it & the blue car in front could move safely without risk, Instead you got as far forward as you could, but sensibly did not try to undertake the bus. I must say that in the videos you post, they all demonstrate safe cycling and an understanding that it is everybody's responsibility to avoid risk, regardless who 'is in the right'. I doubt that you will be featuring in any of Ashley's videos.
@@wibbley1 The driver did not overtake me again before the traffic lights. I moved off ahead of them and they turned left behind me. By the way, I have already sent videos to Ashley before and he said my riding was good.
Audi drivers always annoyed if you don't let them enjoy the whole width of the road
Pretty stupid, but I encounter that basically every day when cycling! The best thing you can do is just try to help as much as possible - even if that means stopping in a parking spot and waiting for traffic to pass!
It was only that one driver behind - basically they were going to overtake me sooner but then realised they couldn’t so braked sharply at the last moment! Then they went past as you see in the video
Driver see cyclist…driver being slowed down…driver must get in front at all costs! At least the other driver had a good view unlike those that risk it on a blind bend
@@smilerbob ... Just to get stuck at the next red light :) I can't help but smile a little when someone close passes, only for me to catch them up later on... It can be useful sometimes to overtake, but yeah, mostly it's usually quite pointless in built up areas.
Cyclists serve next to no purpose on the roads apart from putting themselves in danger. I sold my bike this year as it’s just too dangerous and all it does is cause delays on the road.
No one serves any purpose on the road apart from for their own self-benefit. Why should I drive a polluting and inefficient car everywhere when it’s just me alone?
What a dumb comment! 😂
@@QiuEnnan most of the cyclists on the road are dressed in Lycra not really going anywhere, whereas most people in cars are driving around for a reason. The amount of fuel a cyclist takes off the road just gets cancelled out with all the cars stuck behind them who have to slow down then accelerate again. Some people have to drive many miles to get to work, where they might do a job that saves thousands of other cars from being on the road. For example in the public transport industry. Yes you can do that in a bike if you are fortunate to live near your work but a lot of people have long commutes.
@@petea7323 The vast majority of drivers are not driving for that purpose. I am unconvinced that cycling does not reduce pollution - I find the amount of fuel I use when driving is basically independent of how many cyclists I encounter. I could drive everywhere (I have a full driving licence), but is that really a smart use of resources?
Hey mate! Is it okay to use it please ? Credited of course, thanks.

@@QiuEnnan Thankkksssss!
I’m surprised the driver didn’t get into trouble with the police officer for stopping on a yellow box junction and not turning right.
I think they were responding to an emergency and had no time
Yes mate definitely because they had their blue lights on, if I did what the car did I’d get a fine right away. 😂
#1 is crazy! How do they just not notice they're driving on the pavement?! Or they do notice... If so, why? The road was clear!
He's parking there.
yep they were parking I think but that’s not an excuse! though it was strange how long they drove on the pavement for!
Got confused. He normally rides a bike 🤣
@@wibbley1 You’re obviously very biased and hypocritical
@@QiuEnnan Biased, yes. Based on years of seeing and having to put up with arrogant and entitled, yet very poor cycling standards on the road. Hypocritical, no. Personally, I would like to see mandatory 5 year re-testing of all road users. It seems so many motorists forget all they were taught immediately after passing their test. It seems the norm to not indicate, or slap on the indicators whilst actually turning, making indicating pointless. My pet hate from other road users. For bikes, of course there should be licencing and education. We did the cycling proficiency scheme. Whilst a start, six hours of riding round the playground does not give anybody the road skills required to ride safely on todays busy & congested roads. Pedestrians, yes they need training. We had Tufty & The Green Cross Man at school. Just an hour or two. It should be ongoing tuition throughout the whole of the school years. We see so many idiots just walk out, fixated on their phone, or wearing ear-buds, totally unaware of their surroundings.
So the guy in the blue car didn’t do anything wrong???
I don’t know - it isn’t clear
Err what eh?
You are wrong here Ennan. Be careful of spreading misinformation.
I don’t understand Ashley - what did I do wrong?
Motors parked the correct way would be visible and illuminated by headlights bouncing off the rear reflectors.
Because at night, oncoming traffic would not be able to see your car - the rear reflectors on the back of your vehicle would be hidden, it could mean that there's a risk of an accident happening.
exactly - and also you can’t necessarily see oncoming traffic as easily at night
When the traffic lights stop working nobody has priority, you did the right thing, slow down and stop, look in every direction and continue when it’s safe to do so. 🙃
cheers mate
