Unbelievable player in his day and its easy to forget how good he was, definitely for Sarries but also for England. He was probably seen more negatively in his final couple of years with England, because Eddie didn't pick in form players to compete for his position. I think he also struggled with his carrying later on, so put on more weight to counter that but that meant he was slow around the park.

Folks must not forget that Rassie Erasmus was also involved in the 2007 RWC winning side as a technical analyst. Similar role to Felix Jones with the Springboks in the last cycle. Rassie has the ultimate pedigree in international rugby coaching

Even as a passionate England fan I say Borthwick is C/D, never B. The autumn games showed this with the bench he selected and timing of subs etc and fact Scott Robertson ended up as B as well shows it's just wrong. Also Gatland and Jones should both be D seeing as it's supposed to be on current form.

Assistant coaches play a big part in the success of the head coach, for example the influence that Tony Brown has on the transformation of the Boks.

Having Galthié and Steve on the same rank bugs me a lot as a French 😅

Galthié is overrated because he has the best generation of french players ever, and still came short AF in RWC. Not to mention the results in the following six nations. A competent coach like Farrell , Rassie or almost any random super rugby level NZ coach would probably win everything with that team.
