It was so nice to watch this with your lovely art behind you! I’m so glad you’re settling into your new plans now and putting 2024 and its disruptions behind you.
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I think i seen at coolinga nt couple years ago good to see you on youtube vanlife looks pretty good
I haven’t been to NT, maybe my lookalike 😉
your a strong lady and that is awesome :)
That’s so great that you’ll be able to charge your power station via the alternator now! Soooooo much potentially wasted power otherwise.
It's a game-changer for sure.
I bought myself a reciprocating saw to use as a happy medium between both a circular saw and a jigsaw. It’s small enough to carry with me in my van. It presents some challenges that using a circular saw would solve (such as more easily cutting straight lines), but with some practice, I got pretty good at doing straight lines. My carpel tunnel syndrome did NOT like using the tools because of the vibration, but then it also didn’t like days and days of doing the exit clean at my old place, so hey, wrist braces at night helped me with both of those problems. Anyway, thought I’d mention the reciprocating saw in case you want a smaller tool to carry around with that will save you some money and space. (Also, there is a hand held tool that fits the blades that go in the reciprocating saw, so that’s also handy to have.)
Gosh! I missed heaps of videos while I was packing up and cleaning at my old place!! I think it’s a great idea to replicate your old van. If it was working well for you, why would you change it?? I’ve built out my van in a way so that when I eventually upgrade, I’ll be able to take everything out and put it almost straight into a new one. It just makes sense that way, I reckon.
Another great Vlog, thanks for sharing your thoughts, I can’t wait to see the rebuild of your new van , & hello Abbey from Snoopy and me,cheers from Downunder 🦘🦘🦘❤️🇦🇺
I love the artwork in your background. Can’t wait to see the new van build. Sending hugs to you and Abby.
This Irish couple purchased an empty tradie van & built a camper. Must admit, I was shocked they built this because they had no tools & had to buy them plus the materials. It would have been cheaper to buy a ready-made camper. Esp for a 6 month trip! Nevertheless, sharing this in case it has useful tips: ua-cam.com/play/PLt6Mm4WzGrDGN0SOAI73jY4HoBBd1n_wr.html&si=N-Hk_DURcK73iRLg
I followed their time in Australia. You must have missed the video where they said the total cost of the van plus build was $15,500 and they sold it for $19,500 when they left. They definitely came out ahead!
I’d have the same thoughts about the van, so it was sensible to write it off. Pity that you don’t yet have your new van to start working on but there’s a rhyme or reason for anything & what the universe has planned will soon be revealed to you. Wishing you good health & many new adventures for 2025 Stay safe, Elaine in Dunedin NZ
Hi Brenna, I always enjoy watching/listening to you. Your positive attitude is inspirational. My year didn't go as planned either, nothing to do with travel, my health mainly but ended up all good, nothing sinister!! but I have been grounded since Christmas Day with a sore throat and head cold.....barlees.....I desperately want my campervan on the road again, I just want to park up somewhere in the bush. But first up in January is floors being replaced following a burst water hose in the bathroom and leaking water damage at my kitchen window frame following storm damage in my home. Good job I don't drink lol. It's good news about Abby. Wishing you a Happy New Year and bring on 2025. Cheers
This too shall pass, hang in there 🤗
wow this video was soo good!(my 1st time here) im in the, watching a zillion videos on UA-cam about van life ,stage! hoping to get a van or something within 2years,an since I dont have a lot of $$,I"ll have to do a lot of the build so..can I ask about what you spent?
I didn’t keep track of the expenses on this one but I’m about to build another one and have done a budget. Check out my latest videos
Like Fay, I have a Hyundai accent and am 74. I sleep in my car, I'm only 5'3" so fit in easily and am very comfortable. I go on trips for a week or two and enjoy camping , I stay in caravan parks or maybe a free camp if there are people there, my kids want me to keep safe. I have my home to come home to.
Happy Holidays! 💓🙌🏼🎉
You're quite welcome, it's our pleasure, we enjoy your videos. Looking forward to many more!
BRENDA, You are amazing I very put a freind onto your vids as your inspiring. I've been going walkabout apparently since I was 6 months old with my folks. As an adult in a swag up until 9 years ago then older camper trailer. Now an RV. It's a magic life style. I'm in NSW for a bit then Vic. Selling my rig and getting a van. Turned 70 this December and like my folks, can't see me stopping for ages yet. Thankyou for your vids and have an amazing 2025.😊❤🎉🎉
It's amazing being a person wanderer which I am now at 70. I've in a way been wandering and working in bush for years, did in those days in a swag. Never had an issue. You go on your gut instinct and I go on what the drive into areas looks like, rubbish etr.. Brenda is an amazing women I thinkm😊❤
Go Faye !!! That’s fantastic !!! How incredible.
Can you please give me the model / brands of your current fans - especially the water cooling one with its owns lithium battery?
Yes, I’m not going to miss 2024. Bring on 2025. I would love to be touring Australia 🇦🇺 but I’m starting where I am - New Zealand 🇳🇿 then hopefully I will cross the ditch and do Australia 🇦🇺 I love watching your journey - bumps and all !! Fyi - I work in insurance , if they needed to deregister it due to structural damage it’s basically illegal on the road / uneconomical to repair - getting paid out was the best outcome.
Thank you Brenna for your very “ real” videos. I always enjoy them👏👏
Happy New Year, Brenna! 🎉
Always appreciate your informative and down to earth videos Brenna. Love your positive attitude too. Look forward to seeing what 2025 brings with life in the new van. Best of wishes, happiness and peace to you and little Abbie. 🥰
You are amazing. Prayers that this year is wonderful for you.
Love seeing your art again Brenna! Life is a roller coaster and you are doing great! So true about not letting fear stop you from having adventures. 2025 will be a great year. Happy New Year!
Ypu turned me on to Ecoflow and while I don't use my battery to the extent you do, I have found it to be easy and dependable. They do seem to be quite innovative too. Thanks for the video! Bring on the new van!
Have a wonderful 2025 Brenna! All the very Best!
I wish I had your ocd😁 You are so organised. I love spreadsheets but lack the discipline to maintain them .
Hi Brenna, it's actually called a whirlybird heat extractor. Once it's installed, it costs nothing to run.
Window shields are great. Found mine in eBay much cheaper than elsewhere. Very happy with them. All the best for 2025 😊
Have you thought about putting a whirligig on your roof? It would help to remove hot air from the car.
Thank you Brenna ❤ Every video you do inspires, encourages and gives me faith in the universe. I often tell myself, ' Life is happening for me, for my best good' .🙏
Happy New Year Brenna
Hi Brenna, I thoroughly enjoy all your videos, and love you life’s attitude. I wish you and Abby nothing short of the very best of health, happiness, and good fortune. 😊
Love following your journey🎉 Good choice not going with the maxx airfan. I had one for years in two different rigs. They are HIGLY overrated, and your solution will give probably just the same effect. Even a small fan floor to roof would work just as well. Wish the best of luck with your new build❤
Brenna, great words and good on you. Patience will win out.
Great video, Brenna. love your positivity xx Merry Xmas to you and beautiful Abbey and the cute other puppiesand look forward to your next videos xx
Greetings! So nice to see you, Brenna! Happy New Year! 💛💛💛
You are such a joy Brenna! With the positive attitude you exude there is no way things can go awry. Blessings to You and Abby and go Fay! Looking forward to everything you want to share in 2025 from your new van. Cheers from NZ 💚🌏💚
Hi Brenna, Happy New year to you and Abbie. May it hold many new adventures. Love your art in the background. Good on you Faye, you go girl.
You are an inspiration!
Weathershields are great, fabulous to see you and your pup family enjoying summer. Yay Fay, way to go!
Fabulous Brenna, I was thinking of you over Christmas and wondered how you were doing and any progress with the van. Glad you are moving your superannuation. The current mob do not sound like they deserve to have your hard earned $ in their fund. I hope that change results in all things flowing seamlessly forward for you Brenna. Equally glad to hear Abbie is making good progress. Do enjoy your chance to relax and so looking forward to your budget video. Have a brilliant New year and all the best for 2025!
You go Brenna!
I think as women we need to inspire and support other women's dreams and adventures regardless of their age I'm so glad you mentioned your friends adventure it may inspire others. So many women are taught to believe there is danger around every corner so much so that they are afraid to leave their home and never get to experience life. I have a friend who is afraid to venture outside the 20 mile radius of her home and her daughter who's 25 won't drive, she's so afraid, she bought a car 2 years ago and has never driven it, I offer to take her out to practice and gain some confidence but she always has an excuse, we as women need to break that recording in our heads and step out of comfort zone, doesn't mean we let down our guard but we don't allow our fears to paralyze us.
Great to hear that Abbey is going well, such a sweet girl ❤🐾 I discovered The Super Guy recently and he has some excellent information on his channel.
Hiace reliable motors
Love your work and your spirit 😊
Hi Brenna. Not sure if this has already been suggested but whenever I see your art I think it would make a fantastic fabric design. That way you could use your own fabric design for your pockets etc. Not sure how practical that would be but I think your designs are much more interesting than the fabric you’re using. Also something you could use for «merch ».
