Love the video. Love the barn, and garden. You mentioned Minecraft should get Lightning bugs/ fireflies; they have them, think via camp mod. An if you like to mention the differences, in Minecraft vs Vintage Story.. then do so. Your game. Not played VS yet, but seen lots of player videos. At first I thought more realistic, but less mobs. Now I see they added more; I knew they would in time. I’m a older player, grandmother in fact; an played Minecraft with my grandsons. Oldest 24 an 20 started with when they were 6 an 7. An by time they quit, second set 5 and 7 started with me. We then added other games, different servers. Now the second sets teens now , they quit. So now wait on last grandson 4 to get older; he already talks Minecraft at times. So till then I play alone. So when seen Vintage Story, been eager to play; seems more grown up.. than cartoonish. However MC has been changing a lot, all kind of new mods. The battle between,MC an other copying; is adding a lot of new mods fast. Some push about money too much, while MC still adds free stuff. Anyway. I’ll keep watching. An start Vintage soon.

Common misconception about acorns: they are edible!! You just need to prepare them before you can eat them. Lol the closing doors... I had written something here before but did some looking and found the answer so no need to speculate. The doors closing is "Auto Close" which is part of "Dana Tweaks" Mod... Shift Click to open doors and leave them open WITHOUT Auto Closing.

A deck with a way down into a nice little flower garden with a small path leading to a lake side gazebo for smashing some tasty wines all surrounded by a beautiful garden... think Game of Thrones garden where the Queen of Thorns and Margaery Tyrell had Sansa for tea and lemon cakes. That view of the lake and mountians across the way is just too good to not have a nice sitting garden for cakes and wine! What a fantastic spot!

The mining method Punk was using is really simple, you dig out pathways you can walk through with 2 blocks between. As of 1.19.8 our reach was lowered from 2 blocks to 1 block so the method Punk used is the most efficient on pickaxe durability. This way you dig out as much ore as possible while as few stone blocks as possible.

Hey Az! Id like to recommend yall get the "Beehive Kiln" mod until 1.20 officially drops and a vanilla kiln becomes a thing. The amount of grass, sticks and fuel you used for those pit kilns hurt my soul, especially considering how far progression wise yall were after day 1... xD

Watching yall i have realized it really is a shame that we cant naturally farm a lawn, or more specifically a "field" of Brown Sedge, since it harvests like cattails but yields grass, it would be fantastic to be able to actually "plant" a field specifically for grass harvesting. Well besides the uber struggle of brown sedge gathering in mass amounts and relocating it, it would be fantastic to be able to split it and make more. Most specifically for those southern areas and/or deserts where grass is quite rare. Or, or... yah know... Thatch being able to be... cut in half to make grass as yoy would think should be a thing. Then just a field of Tule would work perfectly.

just rewatching, i forgot to tell you per marcel vos while putting rides underground is good for stats, being underground to much also hurts the stats.

The tropics have their own set of "biomes" depending on how wet they are. Rain forest <-- Tall Fern -- Oak -- Savannah (Acacia) -- Desert (Cactus). The Tree-fern, Tall Fern, and Papyrus are big indicators.

Hostile bears still spawn in hot climates. Redwood forests etc.

Nice spot and I definitely agree with the previous comment that the chisel is your stairs solution. Also a gateway to chisel addiction in future! Shame you went so far and didn’t find ebony, though you came home with lots of other good loot! I know you didn’t show everywhere you went, but it looked to me like you were far enough south (with fern trees and kapok) but too wet. Acacia and ebony spawn together in fairly arid savannah areas full of hyenas and sunflowers (in my VS tropical exploration experience.)

The house looks great and the contrasts work well. With the stairs, in such a modern building, why not chisel them the way you'd like. The slabs are taking more space than a traditional stair block would to travel the same distance. So, if you make your own with dark stone treads, you get the look you're after and it might fit into your colour scheme too.

Pineapple is sort of buggy. I play malefactor, and have trouble actually getting any fruit from mature, fully grown pineapple. I've seen other people having the same issue as well. I really hope that it gets fixed at some point in future. And that doors closing on their own, it is likely part of some mod. It happened to me as well, and it quite spooked me when it first happened before I knew that it was part of some mod. I don't know which one though. The new house looks fabulous. When I build my bases I usually build them near water, mostly for practical purposes, but also because I've actually lived most of my life near rivers and lakes. There is something very soothing about water.
