There is NO other video on youtube - in the HISTORY of the internet, perhaps - wherein the story's protagonist burns his homemade pie due to melee combat with demons brought on by a temporal storm. What a story. That is vintage.
In the same way you enabled the color accurate world map, you can turn class specific recipes off. I don't know the exact command, but it's probably something along the lines of /worldconfig ClassExclusiveRecipes off or some such. If you ever get into steel making, you'll need iron door, which the furniture trader sells. It's much easier and cheaper to buy one than to make it yourself. It takes 6 iron plates, if I remember correctly. More flowers you have around your skeps quicker they swarm. You can also put a straw dummy so that angry bees will attack it instead of you.
Maybe make a cool way to get from the second floor down to your animal pens, like a balcony over them with ladders to get down. That way they stop escaping through the door
I think black bears tend to run off cause they are rather weaker than they look. Brown bears are the real dangers with a high health pool and high attack damage. You can decorate the top layer of a pie with tour knife before baking it. To fix the iron ingot you will need a helve hammer.
Okay, love this series. As I said yesterday just watched your 100 days video and then saw there was a new episode so yay. Looking forward to more of this. (Will give the multiplayer a look but honestly single player calls to me more, mostly due to how your stuff is based on your actions.) Anyway, so I have to admit that the glue thing is more annoying to me then fun. I think there is a way to allow you to just get what you break rather than needing to use glue, I totally would use that. (or have it so a single glue is 100% successful, that way there is a cost but its not percentage) But yeah great stuff, fun episode.
I like how people always open and close a door or fence gate after they place it, as to try it out (it's the same in the "other block game" as everyone calls it).
Bought the game cause of this series and others like it. Got a bunch of mods that "made sense" (smithing bits recovery, getting shells from panning, etc.)
You can see ugly pixel wide gap in paths texture, so I recommend mod Fixed Paths, it changes texture in gap between blocks to path texture instead of any block like dirt or stone behind it. Also i agree with turning class recipes off, its for multiplayer servers and can be neglected in singleplayer imo) P.S. Try to avoid combat healing, because heavy armor reduses healing like crazy (which makes sense, you cant apply bandage over metal sheets around your legs :D) If you will turn off class recipes you can make tailored gambeson armor for everyday protection with almost zero penalties.
Well you make a good case, I guess I should turn class recipes on! And good point about the armor. Problem is, I often need the bandages in the middle of a fight, or else I’m toast 😆 maybe I need to practice more evasive fighting.
Acutally pigs and other animals attack the player after they get injured by anything, it doesn't matter what it was. I was once attacked by a fox that I hadn't attacked before, it must have gotten fall damage or something and blamed me... Also, about the path blocks, I recently started putting stair blocks under slabs, so I don't see the dirt/grass under the slab anymore, and since stair blocks go all the way up to the top of the block, it fills the gap. Only problem is, if you have a diagonal path where you see two sides of the slab you still see the gap in the stair block through the gap under the slab, which I hate.
Oh yeah, I saw your other comment after I recorded. Better get myself a helmet! Though I wanna complete the set of Blackguard armor rather than just forging a generic helmet, so maybe I need to go ruin hunting again
Well, it’s a completely separate game now, running on a different computer language with its own code and everything. It was certainly inspired by Minecraft though. Once you play it, you’ll quickly find they share very little in common other than the blocky aesthetic. I get you though, why buy another game when Minecraft is so similar?

Truly, you could say I’m a pioneer in that respect 😆😂

The unfinished iron bloom, just save it for when you get a helve hammer because they can magically finish them lol
Oh good, I was scared I’d have to waste it.
You should be able to just put it on some coals and reheat it to finish it@@azungu1190
a 1h long episode makes me so happy
i like that he hicks when hes drunk, it adds immersion
Hahahaha I’m glad someone liked that, wasn’t sure if it would be funny or annoying 😅
Loving your videos! was able to watch them in a day! Keep up the great work :)
Thanks! And that’s a lot in one day, you’re a madman! 🏆
Awesome video man!!
Thanks!
Great episode mate. I'm jealous of your vessel collection for sure!
Thanks!

Indeed, the glue is annoying 😆 it’s turned off on the Rusty Gears server, so collecting decorative clutter is easier.
Really cool series, man !
Thank you! ❤️

Haha, it never crossed my mind that I do that LOL

Shells from panning sounds cool, I’ll have to check that one out

You can open the handbook by looking at stuff?! That’s so good. What’s the hotkey you used?
Indeed! I didn’t know until a viewer told me. Very helpful. The hotkey is Shift+H
@ Thanks!

How about wood path blocks going around the house up to the windmill? So the main path looks fancier and the side path has a different texture.
Good idea
I have got stuck just like at 39:00 before. It sucked
Just finish 100 days in Vintage Story🔥
I haven't ran through the comments, but if you run it through the helve hammer, it will auto fix
And again, no helmet means certain death against bears and nightmare drifters. You should spend some iron to forge one)

Man, I'm here early.
First here! :)
So this is built on Minecraft but they are charging for us to download and play. Seems wrong somehow.
