First Drive in the NEW Model 3 Long Range RWD
Переглядів 28 тис.4 місяці тому
So I just got behind the wheel of the new Tesla Model 3 Long Range RWD, and honestly, I think this is the best Tesla you can get for the money right now. It's got everything you need-great range, awesome tech, and that smooth Tesla drive-all without breaking the bank. If you're looking for a Tesla that gives you the most bang for your buck, this might just be it.
Good review. I too believe the 2024 Model 3 RWD 9 speaker set-up is fantastic. Bass? Listen (Apple Music, etc.) to the track on Sarah Jerome's -DreamLogic. “Fergus” (Double Bass). With a Real acoustic double bass you'll realize how accurate the low frequency reproduction is. As an old timer Audiophile, I had EQ'd my system with a Phonic RTA (Real Time Analyzer) against Pink Noise and set the EQ to 2.0, 0.0, 2.5, 3.5 (boosting the Highs for old ears)." What I found was there was too much Bass on Sarah J's "Fergus" when listening to the "real" Double Bass. I have found that to actually hear what the artist intended it's best to shoot for a Flat frequency response across the spectrum from 40Hz to 17KHz. This is the limit most humans can hear but we are very sensitive to slight variations especially in the Mid frequencies. Unfortunately there is a Resonance at about 50-100 Hz (as much as 10 db) due to cabin dimensions, which the equalizer can't do much about. Also of note when I test drove the 2024 model 3 AWD, I found the Bass was too emphasized and had to turn down the lowest 2 controls all the way down!
We have the 2025 M3 LR RWD as well and even in the same color. We picked it up in Charlotte 2 weeks ago. I have to agree with how quiet it is as well as how smooth the driving is. I've gone 90 and felt like I was going 50. Thus far, no issues or complaints. Not even the LED accent lights have an issue....yet *crosses fingers*
It's a good thing this guy buckled up while they were standing there
Thank you for doing this range test for this specific model. I'm in college full time and I work full time, and I'm about to pull the trigger on a M3 LR RWD. My commute is over 20 miles one way, and I wanted to be confident in it's efficiency.
@@greg.anywhere Do you have the ability to charge at home?
@projectMac03 No, I don't have a home charger, BUT I can charge for free with the Level 2 chargers at work.
i sold my 2024 crv hybrid to get into a 2019 model 3 lr awd
how much money would it cost for you to install the truck speakers?
I heard they still have 17 speakers but no subs?
17 speakers on AWD and Performance
I’m picking my 2025 Stealth Grey M3 up in 2 weeks. Super pumped! First thing I’m going to do is PPF the front end. I’ll do ceramic coating later, but I wanna preserve the front from rock chips because I live in an area with rough roads. Did you do PPF on yours?
you are gorgeous haha... happy new year
Bro thanks for the review. I am really considering buying a Tesla after going through some of your videos. But i have a concerning point which i have seen in youtube, that the autopilot sometimes stops or slow down significantly in the middle of the highway for no reason. Another guy told that he never use the autopilot at night because it has stopped in the middle of the road 2 times. Just want to know what’s the truth. Btw those videos are 1 or 2 yrs old. What’s your thoughts on this.
Thanks for your video. That is a great car. Good to hear range is what it claims. Usually it is a lot under what it claims. Can't wait to get the same car.
Psychopath !
I test drove the model 3 and y all variants and the fsd is mind bottling. I drove in fsd for over 3 hours and it was flawless. I pick up my model 3 rwd on Saturday. Tesla is wayyyyyyyyyy more advanced than other evs.
So ??? 20 minutes apx got over 200 miles of range, (in this case like 250 miles ) which is impressive, however: ??? would someone guess how much range would be expected with the same 10% empty status but on the much more affordable used 2022 Tesla AWD Long Range model? (these are available under 25,000 with 30,000 miles on them)
Don’t know where you went man but I liked your videos
I pick up a 2025 Model 3 RWD LR this weekend. I am looking forward to driving 300+ miles without charging. I get about 250 miles on my Model Y. Though when I’m traveling with my family I can’t drive more than 2.5-3 hrs. without needing to stop.
Did you precondition before plugging in?
It’s a LFP battery so you need to charge it to 100%
Incorrect. The long range RWD is NMC.
@ That’s correct! 😅
BTW youtube has poor audio quality. It doesnt even reach 320 kbps. So the speakers can sound better if you have spotify premium or apple music or amazon music.
Good work for your second video. I also ordered my M3 LR RWD after trying both AWD and RWD for 24 hours each. I actually did not like the subwoofer on AWD, it had a rattling sound in the car. I preferred the clean sound of RWD. Made my life easy and helped me save $5K. The acceleration in snow is lot slower with RWD compared to AWD but at no point RWD felt unsafe to drive or lacked power. The braking distance was very similar between RWD and AWD on fully snow covered parking lot.
900 volts at 278 amps. That’s big time
Hello. What is the color of this car?
Stealth Grey
Great video but do you not see all the people going around you while you're sitting in the left lane?
My was perfect. Love the car.
In 2019 I picked up my 3 Performance, and on that car the whole front of the car had another shade of red, so they ended up changing the entire front. This and a few rattles was all that ever was wrong with that car during my 2 years with it. Have a Y manufactured in China also in red and not a single problem with that car
Do you have another referral code?
I do! www.tesla.com/referral/kaine50730
It really needs to learn lane discipline.
Anyone on the fence about this car should check out Out of Spec Reviews 70 mph test of it.
The 17 speakers in a Tesla Model 3 are located in the following places: Tweeters: Two 25 mm tweeters, one on each side of the side mirror Midrange speakers: Nine 100 mm midrange speakers, located in the following places: Three in the dashboard Two in the front door, one on each side Two in the rear door, one on each side Two on the parcel shelf, one on each side Woofers: Four 200 mm woofers, two at the bottom of each front door Subwoofers: Two 200 mm subwoofers, both in the trunk
No, the front doors each only have one 200mm woofer, not two. There are 11 100mm mids, not 9. The other two are in the upper A-pillars, in the same place as in previous years, but there are no longer visible grills covering them like there were before 2024. Look at the 2024 service manual on Tesla's site and you'll see
It's pretty misleading bro my friend has the exact same car and color and it's fine
People reporting 384 miles of range. Far better then what is advertised by Tesla. Super efficient vehicle. Gratz on your purchase buddy.
@@JoseMendoza-gq1bx thank you! Mileage has been fantastic
Did you buy a demo vehicle?
@@Chrisprints3d no
$299/mo lease rate now is insane. $3,000 down 36 months.
It's a range test but we don't know the range
363 miles rated
@projectMac03 Thanks I wasn't sure if you mentioned it or not
I ordered my M3 2 days to early. Just missed the 1K off. But I’m happy with $500
So close to possibly purchasing this car - to me this type of stuff is unacceptable and Ive seen it quiet a bit while researching - wild to me that buyers have to inspect the car upon pickup. Do they not inspect their cars?.. I know they're pretty good about repairs but spending $40k+ for the issues that you and many others are dealing with is wild. Hope these things were sorted out quickly and smoothly for ya.
Everything was smoothed out!
no rattles on high bass songs in the car?
a beast
Charging curve is amazing looks like
Not really... it's decent, but it would be amazing if it actually charged at 200kw until at least 60%, but it was already down to 175kw at just 35%! I mean, 250kw chargers have been around for quite some time now, and yet, very few EVs are able to take full advantage of what those chargers have to offer!! There really needs to be more EVs capable of charging at 200kw up to 60% battery charge...
It gets sold here in germany with a max range of 702km which is 436miles 😅 … since you guys have speed limits everywhere i‘m sure you will have a ton of range with it.. 😅 nice vid mate 👍😎😁
This is the model i wanna get here in germany to replace my Diesel 😂😂 … it would be my first Electric car ^^
bro keep crushing this content.
I feel like quality control is a big issue only because they're trying to make as many as they possibly can...cmon, just slow down to get it all right!
The main difference with the LR AWD is the two subs.
It's crazy the new long range rear wheel drive has more miles than the long range AWD!
Nice car I have one the same on order, always makes me wonder why we have EV haters? Different cars for different people. It’s my first EV and after the test drive I was sold!
Still for what Tesla chargers charge you can easily get the same if not better with gas, best place is using home charger
Hey, how would you rate 0-60? Is 4.9s fast enough and does it give that 'holy shit that's fast' feeling or just ok? I'm torn between RWD and AWD...
Power is very adequate. No need for more. No reason for AWD unless you drive in snow and ice. AWD is more expense, more weight, and more moving parts to go wrong unless you need it for extreme acceleration.
@@tubedude3 thanks, I'm picking up my model 3 in a few hrs :)
The speakers are great. They just need more ampflication, more mid bass and overall bass.
Great video buddy🎉
