    Wow! Skandinavians are the gods of black and death in my opinion… hundreds of small bands which never go out of the teenagers garage “let’s play” hobby… I’ve been working long ago with the guy, who was almost twice younger then me, he was playing volleyball, but in his free time they had a small band with the friends, not for a fame, just for fun… we’ve got in touch, common colleague relations, and just somehow discussing the priorities in music ha growled some phrase… it was impressive. 😁 All the luck to the artists! Make art no war! 🥰

    The Warning is one of the biggest upcoming rock bands in the world, and yet sadly there is a big movement of haters (male) here in Mexico, who dislike them and diss them just because they are talented, succesful and beautiful, like if for some reason those three characteristics should be forbidden in a female artist, they are also hated because they come from a wealthy and functional family, because family violence and poverty is real common in my country, it's really sad and funny the reasons these haters have to attack them.

    So Amy Lee is a classically trained pianist (starting at 6?), started writing poetry about deep subjects at 10, lyrics and composition when she was 11 and became the co-founder of Evanescence at 13, becoming the lead vocalist, lead songwriter and keyboardist. She was still 21 I believe when they released their first album, Fallen which sold more than 4 million copies in less than a year. Plus a bunch of Grammy Nominations and 2 Wins and four singles powering up the charts. Her voice is beautiful, powerful and haunting and is very highly regarded. That's a leap into the rock psyche. That entry was special. That's impact. Now, fast forward I'm sure The Warning is a good band with devoted fans and something to add to rock but lets not throw the 'most special' tag around so easily. Unique yes, absolutely agree because you are narrowing things down to ensure the unique tag. Look into any band and I bet you'll find something unique. Scandal from Japan started a band when they didn't even know how to play instruments (Rina perhaps an exception with Piano?) and just set a record as the longest lasting female (rock?) band that have kept the same lineup. So they became sisters. The most special band in rock right now? There are plenty of bands out there doing the same things and with a unique story to tell. Special to their fans? Absolutely. The 'most special' in a measurable way against the wave of other brilliant bands? Please.

    • @metalandrockzone
      @metalandrockzone 14 годин тому

      So obviously when Amy Lee and her band were doing this I might have made a video back then (if I had a channel) saying that they were the most special band in (gothic) rock at that time.

    • @Song-Ha-Na
      @Song-Ha-Na 14 годин тому

      @@metalandrockzone That's the first part of the comment, pointing out there are degrees of impact. The second was that there are too many brilliant bands out there to claim 'the most special' apart from personal preference. No issue with personal preference. And that the more unique and narrow you make the judging factor of course someone leaps up the rankings. But your channel, and absolutely your right to the opinion you have. Just not a fan of definitive sounding statements so my apologies. I actually agree on your assessment on a lot of point regarding the band just not the conclusion drawn from said points.

    • @Namida-no-Regret
      @Namida-no-Regret 14 годин тому

      @@Song-Ha-Na You could always just look at it along the lines that special doesn't mean best or similar. I don't think the claim was ever made that they put out the best quality music. I don't think that's said or implied in the video (unless I'm wrong which I often am so I'll just be quiet).

And while I've loved many of the bands of classic rock, I find three bands that re-ignighted my love for the genre. One thing that REALLY stands out about The Warning concerts I've seen on UA-cam is that there are people of literally ALL ages in all their shows. I don't think I've ever been to any rock concert with an audience anywhere from 7 years old to 70 years old, all mixed throughout the crowd. I pray that I'll get to see them live this year (2025)

    I agree with everything you have said here. I believe that The Warning is going to revitalize the touring Rock band scene. To me their music is very reminiscent of early RUSH - they all have the talent and the chops and are a phenomenal live band. There is such clarity in the music and brilliance in their lyrics - they already have a really mature writing/compositional style to their music and lyrics - especially for such young musicians. They also have the attitude that is/was a big part of what rock and roll is and has always been about. Saying that they are fierce musicians sits perfectly well with them. They have given me hope for the future of rock music!!💖 💖 💖

    You make some great points. The Warning to me are lightning in a bottle. I'm very picky with what I like musically, a couple of all-time favorite bands and that's what I stick with. The moment I heard the first chords from HYCAD I was immediately hooked. Within a day my wife and I had purchased all their music we could get our hands on and I'd bought tickets to the nearest concert I could get to. Been on repeat ever since.. I rarely share music with friends either because it's always seemed like such a personal thing, but I didn't hesitate with this, I shared with everybody I could!. It's almost like something on a molecular level. I can't explain it....I just know it when I hear it, and The Warning has it in spades. Viva DPA!.

      @@kylec1411 Oh don't get me wrong I adore a lot about the west, especially the US where I spent time. Love many of the people. But so much tunnel vision, and despite the year we live in now there are so many that are oblivious to what's going on outside their bubble. Rock and metal have been vibrant and surging for years in Japan, especially the all-girl groups. The perspective of The Warning as this big saviour of rock seems to me like one of those amazing horror movies Japan made that Hollywood remade. Something brilliant already existed but it didn't exist to the west until they had their own version.

    Sorry, you're all insane. The band is very average. They haven't written one song that has charted or will ever chart. Their drummer is excellent, but the singer is below average. Their bassist is very pretty, but again, a below average musician. They are a gimmick -- see past that and listen to their music with your eyes closed. They're a decent cover band, nothing more, nothing less. If they write some catchy tunes, I’ll come back and apologize. But if this were three brothers, nobody would give them the time of day. Certainly they wouldn’t be given sponsorship deals, etc.

      Well I guess that is a matter of taste. I think a lot of the attraction is the simplicity of their music in a sense. They appeal to those who are not necessarily looking for super complex compositions, extensive solos etc. I think the same can be said about a lot of bands like Kiss, ZZ Top, Motorhead and many other rock and metal bands that have not been doing some super complex songs.

    The Warning are incredible. But if you want to know who is really changing rock, check out BAND MAID! The two bands are actually friends and have a collab video - Show Them.

      Yes Band Maid are really good, so are Lovebites, Hanabie, Saiseiga and many many more from Japan, I have covered some of them in my "new band" episodes as well as making a Japan only episode last year. Thanks for watching
