The real Mary Ingalls DID really go blind but, NEVER married or had children. Michael Landon took creative license with that aspect with the writing of the shows. Michael Landon did a lot of that on the series.

You will never see a show like this again Hollywood is such a Godless vile place There’s a few companies that would ever attempt a bible based show and run it on prime time They would have a hard time getting sponsorship I remember watching some of the shows but not all Until now I enjoy watching the shows I very much loved hearing the ending when they began singing Jesus love me for the Bible tells me so. My point is you will never hear the name of Jesus on prime time Unless God somehow preforms a miracle. I would watch this show everyday if I could instead of the trash that is on TV nowadays Man how this nation has changed. The devil has destroyed our nation. I just came here because I was telling my wife this was my favorite episode of LHOTP. Mary was a soft-spoken character, so when she went ballistic, she became my hero. Mary is like me, introverted and quiet. But when wronged, I tend to go "Mary-mode" as well. But Mary did something even better, she forgave and taught that woman to read. I wish Mary had more lead roles in the series.
